I bought the NR1509 as I won't be making use of 7.2 or Atmos anytime soon, but $850 for the NR1609 looks like a very good price.

I also picked up a pair of KEF Q350's for $819 including the magnetic covers (price matched from Clef in Melbourne)

  Jealous! It's my first foray into home theatre stuff. I 'upgraded' from my TV's built-in speakers. The difference is… substantial :-D

  Probably 6 months or more, just 2 receivers, a stereo amp possibly, maybe a turntable and disc player… From memory.
