I recall 3TB being the more troublesome HDD releases. Notibly from Seagate but other brands didn't fare so great either in comparison to earlier and later size reiterations.
If I wanted 6TB (and I don't) I'd rather a 6TB hdd for $5 more (WD). IMO old 3TB stock should be a lot cheaper than this now.
