Yeah. Both in my price range. Might read and watch reviews on both to decide.
Let me know what decision you come to! cheers
read the reviews on a few youtube videos and web sites. as per dsn7287 there is a great review of this panasonic at hdtvtest.
things that swayed me to pick this over the LG and the sony (which was was a little over my budget at $1999)
not in particular order.
- the remote layout looks good. not to mention aesthetically looks good.
- the interface is ok. certainly better than the android tv setup that sony has. not sure about the LG however. though there are reported issues with motion on the LG B8 from whirlpool which could be a good read if you want sway yourself either way.
- hdr10+ appears to have more support/backing from more players than dolby vision. not that i have been great at picking a horse in any race however.
if you are looking to get the 55" panasonic TH55FZ950U it is on sale again. just checked the videopro ebay site. bought myself one as i already had ebay gift cards when there was a 10% off from ebay uk. this saved me a further $100.
was trying to convince myself to go for the 65" as the 55" was reported as sold out but budget wont stretch that far. not that i have that much room for a 65" in my small living room anyway.
if you want to talk yourself into one way or another. read this.

that was a great review of this tv. thanks for that. swayed me to get this as according to that site PQ of this tv is top notch as shown by the numerous awards it has received as mentioned here https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2741942
time to find out how to tune this tv as per the experts who know best so that im ready when it arrives.
Bit out of touch with all the TV deals… I'm in the market for one but if I'm just after a TV for Netflix, is something like this overkill?
This is the best TV screen technology you can buy.
CRT (very old), PLASMA, LCD, LCD with LED and this, OLED
These are the actual display technologies. Other terms are all marketing fluff (such as QLED).When watching Netflix in a dark room, the blacks on this screen will be absolutely black because OLED turns each colour dot completely off. That is the major difference. The screen is usually thinner too and uses slightly less energy.
If you’re buying it for your kids to watch cartoons or you don’t really care about picture quality, save yourself a few hundred dollars and buy an LCD.
I'm pretty much the same with PS4 gaming as well. Honestly, go for it. I never looked back. I would recommend looking at one in store first though. One of my mates absolutely hates the black for this reason. Up to you.
One of my mates absolutely hates the black for this reason
One of my pet hates with LCD. Blacks look cloudy. Not completely black but a gradient of grey to black.
If a scene in the movie is pitch black. Then i would want it to be inky black.
I wish the C8 had the B8s stand as it is better for sound bars but the C8 has the new A9 processor.
Title is a little misleading. Although Radelaide might still be classed regional, im not entirely sure.
Posting to: Australia
Excludes: Northern Territory, WA Regional, SA Regional, Tasmania, WA RemoteEDIT: they post to Radelaide (it'll be here in time for footy season), merry xmas OP
Just wondering anyone with B8 Oled have issue with flickering or macro blocking at some dark scene?
I found some users have issue with certain dark screen;

Im not here to beg LG, rather I am planning to buy one and would like to know the user experience for new B8 OLED. Thanks
yikes. looking at that flickering. if it where happening to others also. that would drive anyone bonkers. i know it would drive me up the wall if that where happening to my tv.
Anyone have experience with delivery times from videopro? I live in Brisbane but estimated delivery is mid January, I’m hoping once they ship it will only be a day or 2.
Patience is not a virtue I have sometimes
Guessing from when they ran out of stock they had to source stock from the supplier and they were provided a date in jan around the second week.
This or the panasonic on sale? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/427171
