210

No idea when it ends. Been looking for one for a while… was either this one or an ikea one.
Walked into Bunnings Rydalmere and they were on special for $58!

  • You sure it wasn't this? https://www.bunnings.com.au/marquee-3m-charcoal-cantilever-u…
Currently $58 online. Not sure if this is a special price or everyday price

    • Yep. That looks like the one. I have been looking for a while, haven’t seen one less than 130. If it’s not a special, I don’t care… still happy :)
      I’ll update the link

Edit: internet archive shows it at $68 in July.

  • My local Bunnings (Ashfield NSW) has it listed for the same price

  • Been $58 for a while at WA. Had one of these before, last about 1-2 years before falling apart. YMMV

Yep. Talked to worker about this a few weeks ago as I needed one. It was $58 then and he told me it's always $58. He did the look left, look right, lower voice thing to me. Don't buy it he said - he has had several of them returned. He said 2 things against it - build quality, balance/weight. He said the main reason they were coming back is that the canopy itself was not sitting true (i.e.not straight), kind of 'bent'. He said the $130ish one was the only realistic entry level. I didn't get anything. Don't know if it's true. Seems cheap, but he scared me off it. Also onion ABOVE snag.

    • 12 months warranty, worth the gamble. Agreed on the onion above snag. And roll, not a white slice of bread.

And roll, not a white slice of bread.

        What is this garbage

        • I agree. I almost down voted this deal out of principle over Bunnings' un-Australian onion underneath nonsense.
Also, a sausage sandwich is made with a single folded slice of bread. Not a bread roll, and definitely not two loaf slices.

          • @CacheHunter: The only way I an fit four sausages on my sandwich is with two pieces of bread. And the onion can go anywhere, because there is no top or bottom.

Don't forget some 600x600mm concrete pavers to hold the base.

  • We have one like this. It has been a great umbrella, but we needed to buy a number of heavy pavers to place on the base, to stop the umbrella from falling over when open.

    • Perhaps Gumtree could have helped with free heavy pavers as an option.

      • Or airtasker: come stand/sit on the bottom of my umbrella.

    • I use sand bags on my $50 Masters one for a few years now.
