        In August….. last 2 seats on the dates I booked. I was reviewing April and May, and each time I looked some flights increased from $1 to $87 as they were being booked.

    I’ve tried to book with different date, always this message

    When I enter all my credit card details etc. I think it’s not a real promotion

      It's an app, and also a service that provides music. Roughly the equivalent of saying "listening to the radio" or "watching channel 10"

      Didn't realise $1 flight bookings are so dangerous😱

      Some people can be more flexible than others (no kids, no spouse, flexible work, etc).

      Have flown overseas for months at 2 weeks notice of discount Jetstar flights. I have a general idea of where I want to go, grab cheap tickets & plan later.

      But booking 6 months or so in advance on pretty random dates - might be doing something else by then & not fly.

      Hopefully those booking will enjoy their cheap flights & not waste them.

        would have been really happy one way to perth, cheap to fly to Asia from there.

          For over a decade, I had my (carry-on only) bag packed ready for next adventure (just add clothes to suit destination & season). Worked well, until family responsibilities took over my life😞

        For decision making in this deal, need to include Pr(finding ticket) - which seems low… (25 tickets per destination option)

        Pr(I find ticket) x Pr(I use ticket) x E(Jetstar ticket)

        Say 0.01 x 0.5 x $100 = 50c, which is much less than purchase of $1😀
        So not worth considering unless you are early to the deal to raise the first value to at least 10% & it's normally a more expensive ticket (to make up for time & frustration).

          I think MathNerd was mainly referring to leave from work. Booked flights but can't leave work = sad😞

          Sometimes it is necessary to find flight & matching dates for accommodation - if you are travelling during a major event. Flight but fully booked out accommodation is a problem!

          But usually flights would also be unavailable & there's plenty of time to find accommodation with these flights so far in advance.

          Has happened to me a few times. In some countries I expect some accommodation will be available when I arrive & may not book. Easier for a flexible single traveller. Would be stressful for a family!

          Flew into Busan, South Korea on cheap last minute flight & found there was no accommodation for that week due to Asia's biggest film Festival.
          Could have changed plans & taken holiday elsewhere in country. Instead, contacted owner of apartment I knew who rented rooms, & slept on balcony. Bonus: film critics staying there gave out free festival movie tickets.

    Not to be a whiner about a small promo, but it's not worth my time digging through a calendar which doesn't seem to show the fare prices, only to find on the next page after selecting dates of travel, that the day I've selected doesn't have any dollar fares at all. Mind you, that's in spite of the search filter set to dollar fares only. You'd have to be very lucky to snatch one of these.

    Was lucky to see the $1 flight page, but when choosing dates (as per their advertised dates) it showed $366 per person (GC > Perth) :-/

    Hi guys, I'm a bit confused in how it works — I clicked OP's "Go to deal" link", I could see $1 flight still available from Cairns to Perth. but when I try to book it, I cannot find any date with $1 price, the lowest I can see is $193.
    I'm a jetstar member, so logged into my account too.

    Am I doing something wrong?
