Hey rep, do you still apply a 2% surcharge to these prices when paying by card?

      Hi Mate,

Yes we still apply 2% fee when they use credit card 2% visa master 3% amex. We are now processing to remove the fees. We'll keep you updated on that.

      • Is this deal 50% off or 50% on? I don't see how it's both.

Yes we still apply 2% fee when they use credit card 2% visa master

This is ILLEGAL on two accounts:

    1. 2% is excessive as it exceeds the cost you are charged by your payment processor. RBA guidelines and recent legislation amendments prohibit excessive surcharges over and above the ACTUAL cost of processing. Basically, you can't use card surcharges to generate extra profit.

    2. The surcharges are not disclosed upfront which they should given there is currently no way for consumers to avoid them.

I have reported the matter to the ACCC and included a link to this deal as evidence.

    • We are happy to report that we have previously engaged with the ACCC on surcharging and confirmed our practices are not in breach of the law.
