  • $50 more for a 1050ti over an rx570……..

    • RX 570s are typically more powerful, no?

Reasonable difference though. Think 570 prices have dropped a fair bit recently here while the 1050ti's have stuck around the $230-$250

      • +2

        yeah rx570 is roughly equivalent to a 1060 3gb

    • It's because RX570 made bad crypto miner so they were for a while one of the only AMD cards readily available (the rests are rainbow unicorns like RX580 8GB or Vega). Unfortunately that also means not too much sale and too much stock built up (AMD and NVIDIA were fabing chips like mad during mining rush and basically bad batch gets turn into low tier chips like RX570). So RX570 is really cheap. That's my take

  • If the TechFast rep reads this, can you please start putting 16gb ram into these as standard? For a decent gaming PC that is becoming the minimum required, especially the 2070 and 2080 builds. Do that and you might get yourself significantly more sales.

    • Thanks for that, we'll certainly take it on board for higher end listings. A lot of people purchase another 8GB module from PC Upgrades in the listings as well, which is the same thing.

      Cheers

      • I know you do sell the upgrades as a separate purchase, but it seems silly to do it this way when you are clearly targeting a gaming market (2070/2080). I completely understand they are options for builds which don't require such high end specs and are not aimed at gamers.

        • It does make the price seem cheaper initially.

      • Big fat agree here, I know your initial price may seem cheaper, but you'd also lose sales in people who want more than 8GB RAM. These days even systems with 16GB run into issues when used for multi-monitor setups the kind of person that would purchase a 20XX series graphics card might.

  • Thanks for picking this up OP. The i5 / 2080 system includes Battlefield V via redemption. I'll update the listing.

    • Thanks.. I have added into post
