I think its a good price for a 20" LED, even more coming from Samsung. Shipping is $12 for Sydney for up to 4 screens, which I think makes it cool if you agree with someone to buy a bunch.
I recently bought an AOC 24" LED, and all I can say is that I am not going back to LCD :). The clarity on the LED screens is just awesome.

Nope, if you want full HD the smallest screen size you can get is a 21.5 inch.
The 20" and 19" screens will go up to a max of 1600x900 (16:9) or 1680x1050 (16:10). 16:10 resolutions are pretty rare nowadays.
These aren't LED screens, they are LED LCD screens. The only difference is the back light, with LED backlights tending to give better contrast than a CCFL. That said CCFL backlit IPS LCDs (ie Dell Ultrasharp) still provide superior viewing…
Agreed. Have tried to explain that the LED reference is just the backlighting to some non-tech-savy inlaws so many times but they just see another run of stupids adds on TV and we are back to square one again… bring on OLED ASAP.
OP is showing a classic case of the placebo effect.
Unless he is comparing the clarity on two monitors with different resolutions (which is possible given he is using a 24", likely to be Full HD), which is then a misguided comparison.
Mind you, used to sell TVs - the number of people who would go "wow!" at the LEDs and "meh" at the LCDs was very interesting. And to explain the difference between LEDs and LCDs (same crap, different backlight) and get the "this guy doesn't know what he's talking about" look from them…
Heads up:
The samsung LEDs are sexy as, but many of them don't have the VESA mount holes on the back…..the only reason I didn't buy one earlier.
