Agreed. Marshmallows are fattening.
Oh my still on marsha marsha marsha
7.0 update since October 17 https://support.lenovo.com/au/en/solutions/ht501098
Excellent, only two versions behind instead of three.
Hence why it's on clearance. Is this hard to understand?! This snark only makes sense if this was a new device and it bloody ain't.
@mooney: Ah yes, buy a device full of security vulnerabilities just to save a couple bucks. That's the ozbargain way.
@dyziplen: I'm fairly sure security patches continue regardless of android version, this is the case for Android phones I'm not certain about Lenovo devices.can anyone confirm?
After like 10 package updates and reboots from taking it out of the box, mine is now at 7.1.1.
Was going to post this, but I only got back from work.
Purchased one last night and then only 5 left, looks like they were restocked today.
Can be upgraded to nougat.
I watched a lot of reviews before I bit the bullet. The main thing holding this tablet back is the weak cpu. This is however more of an issue when running windows.
Reviews for this tablet are generally positive when prices at $500. So for $240, I would say it's a great buy
Other things to consider are that the intel cpu is a little more power hungry compared to other tablets.
Also the keyboard will take some getting used to.
Here are some useful reviews
Does it Chromecast easily? And can you change the language on the halo keyboard to display different characters? Thanks for the reviews! Just managed to grab one before it sold out.
I haven't got it just yet. From the reviews, the keys are actually "etched" in and get lit up, so you can't make it display different chatacters.
the first review dated Oct 30, 2016
what? i thought this is newly released like couple months only. That is the yoga book c930
damn actually i thought i am buying c930 here (with knock feature and 10.8" etc etc)
with just 10.1" im afraid will be too small. oh well.@CyberMurning: 0.7 inches for a fraction of the price is too small?
can we change the os to windows?
I have seen on forums that someone has worked on that. However you need to root the tablet first. Also, not all functions work.
I only did a preliminary search though and did not look too deeply into it.
Don't know if can/can't, but lord I personally wouldn't want to. I've got a similarly spec'd yoga 310 (same year, slightly worse processor) on windows and the processor is a POS that hits 100% soon as I open chrome. Can barely get netflix on its own running smoothly. Given the chance I'd swap it to android in a hearbeat, but Lenovo locked the bootloader. I imagine they'd lock for this as well.
agree.
someone on xda forum tried to install windows but soooo many thing dont work.
and reviews said this machine runs better with android.
$289+shipping on amazon if anyone keen.
https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Yoga-Book-Android-Tablet/dp/B0…$380+shipping for the windows model.
FYI - Amazon US, so that's USD.
Wow that bezel
Pretty standard for a tablet. And I'd mostly be using it as a tablet.
Tempted to grab this if they make more stock available. Don't really want to pay the full $299 at Lenovo.com.au.
Can still be had from lenovo website at $299 shipped + cashrewards.

Chances are it might be added to ebay though…
Thanks much op, I bought one.
Interesting product. Normally I'm into a tactile feedback keyboard, but I figure there are a lot of niche tasks this would be well suited for.
(I'm also a new Note 9 owner and don't think I'll ever go back to non-stylus phones at least).I'm considering jumping into the Note 9 for my next phone (and my first ever Samsung) - can I ask, what kind of use do you get out of your stylus? I talked to other people who claim it's mostly a gimmick that they don't use after the first month.
Me personally, I just love the precision the pen nib. I msg a lot through screencaps/photos and pretty much everyday (over last 2 weeks) I'm cutting out chunks of the screen I need and doodling annotations on top. Might not be everyone's style, but works for me and I find it pretty efficient way of messaging.
Also I have relatives still on the Note 5, cause they use the stylus to write msgs in Chinese. They'll probably only ever be using galaxy notes cause of that.agree. if you dont like to draw or write in other language then no use of the pen.
Thanks for your responses guys
I hope they restock
that keyboard (or lack of)…
its something new.
probably in 10 years all will be like that. who knows.. no one use touchscreen phone before apple and now…..Well it has a usb2 port. I may occasionally set it up in tent form with a tactile keyboard plugged in, lol.
You can however wipe it all and install chromebook is its free
really? can do that? let me check xda forum
Would the specs be worth it to be used as a chromebook for daily use? (ie. working on google docs/sheets, emails, light youtube use)
Nah, can't install Chromebook O/s I googled already.
Thanks for clarifying mate.
Does this have a 64-bit android userspace i.e. can install x86_64 ABI apps? Can't find a single retail device that supports this so far.
Got mine today and gosh this thing is sleek. Wasn't expecting it to be so slim with the keyboard, but in folded back tablet mode it's not heavier than a similar sized tablet on the market at the moment. Very nice.
Came in very fancy premium product looking packaging as well.Only itty bitty nitpick at the moment is there's nowhere to attach the stylus and I'm an absent minded person. But easy fix I just need to find a case for it.
what colour do you get?
Goldish-bronze
its called champagne gold :) thanks.
gross,
