$468 for 32GB ROM phone, and you have to wonder why Samsung is losing smartphones market? I know it can take SD card, but this was never a budget smartphones and it's 2018, they should have gone with 64GB ROM minimum. I meant Samsung make memory, it doesn't cost that much to Samsung.
J series I can understand, but A series?
That is true
This is a $300 USD phone with 32GB
You want more memory then buy a $2000 Apple.
This isn't a U$300 phone. At launch it was close to U$480, almost border on Samsung S8 which is heaps better. A series isn't even mid range, especially for A8 and A9, they are borderline flagship or flagship "killer". Basically a slightly cheaper full on Galaxy S.
@Bigboomboom: What does local S8 stock sell for here?
@tranter: $650 local.
At launch the S8 was $1k here,but when A8 was released it's around $800. The A8 also released at around $740ish. By that time there's barely any difference between the two.
@Bigboomboom: Local S8 stock is significantly more expensive than that. I agree that 32gb is pathetic, but the A8 is at a price point.
@tranter: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/417359
Sure? $650 for S8 local brand new.
@Bigboomboom: Fair enough, but it's still nearly 50% more expensive as well as being an older phone. As I said, the phones are marketed at a price point just as people buy at a price point.
If you walk into a mainstream store normal pricing is $1000 for the S8 and $550 for the A8.
That is a significant price difference whichever way you look at it and as such, specifications will differ.
@tranter: Except this succeed S8, not S9. It has last gen chipset. Plus S8 is normally $850 right now where as this is $650. It's not 50% more…
@tranter: FYI, price history of A8:

A8: $736 Kiwi dollars
S8: $899 Kiwi dollarsNow, does this make sense to you more?
Read Only Memory would be no good for anyone.
So that I'm not off topic too much I just want to say that yes, I agree. 32GB of storage is not even for a mid tier smartphone in this price range anymore.
ANYWAY…
I would really, really like it if we all (and "we" is definitely including a few manufacturers) could please stop referring to internal storage capacity as "ROM".
ROM is Read Only Memory. Very different thing.
wait for Monday Cyber Deal.. you don't need this
Price match at OW to get it for $444.
