  • That’s awesome! I’ll have to read up more on these

So I'm guessing everyone doesn't understand this enough to up vote or down vote. This tool can be replaced with a $10 Realtek (for drivers in kernel) eth adaptor plus a rooted phone running Kali Linux (or any Linux)

    • find cable faults, PoE voltage,

That Realtek adapter will negotiate PoE as well?

Wouldn't you then need to donate a whole phone to this purpose?

Do you guys not have phones?

          Haha I understand that reference
But seriously buying a phone + tool would probably be cheaper and a lot more useful than this single tool

      • Lots of phones would be cheaper than this, and it doesn't need to be dedicated to this alone.

No POE testing but kali does seem easy to install to get almost all the functions of this device.

You could also use a laptop

        • Yes but depending on how you use it, keeping a spare phone charged and with you all the time is a pain.

Being able to use your current phone is very convenient since its already charged and ready to go.

Having said that I would never bother with any of this since the only faults I run into a standalone cables, which just go in the bin and are replaced.

Everything else is fixed with a replacement module.

  • Lol.. I suppose better than paying the prices of an equivalent Fluke device..

  • This is abit too pricey for what it is ,
