I'm choosing to believe this is an amazing Black Friday deal for the deluxe 4K 3-disc version of a movie only released 2 days ago that's also cheaper than the DVD version.

Can 4K be played with a bluray player?

No, it can only be played on 4K player, but usually they ship with normal bluray as well as 4K in the box, so you can watch normal bluray on your current player and be future ready when u ready to get a 4k bluray player.

@mrwak: Yup, which is why I returned my purchase to JB as didn't see it was 4K only. There's the 2 disc version which is available at Amazon for $14. $1.50 more to get the bluray disc.
