Optus have update their tablet plans with the new iPad pros being available, although new plans don’t have unmetered streaming for free anymore (costs additional $5 p/month).
The base 11 inch model is $75 per month over 24 months with 100GB data & 100GB bonus data (minimum cost $1800). Additional $10 per month if you want the 256GB iPad Pro 11 version (minimum cost $2040).
Just hope it is not that traditional lol

Currently on a galaxy s6 with a kogan sim. Only a matter of time before optus offers a similar deal with a samsung and i'll be all over it.
the similar deal exists, its the galaxy tab s4. there are no comparable handset plans for this much data at this price;(
Yeh I was looking this afternoon. S9/+/note are all over $100 with 200gb of data. Which is ok, but the phone outright is about the same price over 24months.

I received and installed the ESR case and tempered glass screen protector from Amazon, well worth it for less than $40 for both.

Extra $5 a month for unmetered streaming is a no brainer.

This might be a silly question, but aside from monthly payments vs buying outright, is there any benefit buying an iPad through Optus on their cheapest plan, versus buying direct thru Apple or another store (if slightly discounted) ? The overall price seems to be about the same, yet with Optus you get 3Gb of data to play with.
For me, I currently already have a free iPad sim (from ages ago), and data pooling from my other Optus phones with free streaming etc. and never hit my limit, so the extra 3Gb probably won't be of any use to me.
Is the main benefit being the higher costing plans with the large data allowances… assuming you need that much data, or am I missing something.
Seems like to a good deal to me.. unless i've missed something really obvious here!

Telstra have something similar, I think the one that stands out is the 12.9 1TB device, you get 2gb data per month and the total price is cheaper than buying the tablet outright from App

I don't think so, the bonus is for the life of contract, but you have until 02/2019 to take that offer.
or optus withdraws the offer earlier.
It's usually always per month unless your talking about pre-paid data.

I've got 2 data plans (about 10 months left)… Managed to recontract one last week, but now when I try to recontract I'm told that it's not possible anymore without a payout.
If only they did a "mini" version of this new style.

It is as long as you are in an area where there's good Optus coverage and the towers are not congested.

It’s not clear on that. “Total data” suggests for the 24mths but why buy a new iPad and restrict it to 8GB data for two years.

i first thought the 200G would be available since day one. then imolared posted the CIS that says it is monthly data allowance. maybe i should've chosen one of the lower plans…
Yes I have tried that gikku and failed like you. I have an ongoing ipad pro 10.5 contract which will expire July 2019 which they denied to recontract without pay out the rest of the 6 months device repayments.

Yup! Most likely Optus will have a better offer by then so you will either switch plans or upgrade.
You can use this SIM to share internet, right? As in, I can bung this into a 4g Modem Router and have everyone having happy mobile internet times?

Signed up instore and asked the Optus rep the same question. You can use it in anything, a 4G modem if you want. No extra charges or penalties.

Seems like Optus have 'back ordered' or oversold and without having an idea when the stock of Ipad Pros are arriving. Makes me wonder if they can actually fulfill my order.
