      I only needed one.

      The site says you can go back and buy the other code for $10 if needed… no point buying both at the same time… since it charges the full price anyway…

        I put in my optus sim and it didn't ask for anything, I just couldn't call etc.

          When I put my optus sim in it and unlocked the screen it asked for a network unlock code…

    my IDEOS U8150 was unlocked by this guy within 2 hrs, on a weekend. I believe he is china based so consider time zones and you will probably do well like me. Paid with CC over paypal.

    is this sim slot a "flat" slot where you place the sim flat on the contacts? or is it a pocket slot where you slide the sim in sideways/ like your hand into your pants pocket?

    if it is a flat slot I would suggest a sim unlocker card. $4 from DX.

    I used one on my japanese vodaphone mobile. whacked it in and added an aus sim and no problem.

        bummer that the bargainer option of the unlocker sim isn't available due to slot type.
        good deal for unlocking (compared to what providers charge to unlock)

      Some people on whirlpool have tried sim unlock cards. Beware… they failed terribly.

      Modems only. AFAIK there is no free unlock method for these phones at the moment. Even gsmhosting is a bust currently. Might change in the future though.
