I've been needing a phone as my S7 is at the end of its life but not too keen to spend that much. That said I'd love a P20 pro, mainly for the camera. The G7 is one of the phones at the top of my list, am I too hopeful for another price drop elsewhere?

Thats odd. My colleagues v20 he bought from jbhifi got the oreo update already.

No, you're right. Aus stock V20's that have AU in their version number haven't received the update yet (including my wife's).
My bad. My colleague must have confused the security patch they received for the oreo update.
I got them to check their phone and yep they are still on 7.0
That sucks that au v20 still dont have oreo.
My LG g5 got the Oreo update
It's a great phone except it doesn't have stereo speakers. Also it is quite a tall phone so one handed thumb action to the top might be a problem for some. Other than that, great battery life, awesome screen and best sound using any wired headphones. Try your luck with JB Hifi as I gotten them to beat the price last week.
anything under a 3700mah cannot possibly have good battery life.
Was comparing with the HTC U Ultra I was using with the same 3000mah battery. This lasted way longer. Could reach over full day usage.
