  • Link to triple mid night is not working

  • If I understand correctly Bose QC35 II allow two sources of audio via Bluetooth.

I'm wondering if I have a high quality stream from one source and want to use two way comms on the 2nd source will the 1st source remain high quality or will it drop to the quality of two-way? (assuming you can do precisely this).

    • Nope can't do what you want.

It can connect to two devices at one time, but only stream audio through 1 at a time.

i.e. Connected to phone and laptop.
Music playing to headphones via laptop. You get a phone call - it will completely shut off audio from laptop and switch to phone. Once phone call is done it will switch back.

      • +1

        And XM3 doesn't do this?

        • I'm pretty sure it works the same way as the xm2's. If you wish to switch between the two devices, you disconnect on one device and connect on the other, which is a lot of hassle.

      • Thanks for the clarity. Of no use to me, then, seeing as I've the M3 Sony's already. Wanted this for use with my Switch.

  • My previous comment to these:
"I have been using qc35 2gen for 8 months and I do NOT recommend - Unless the design is a major argument for you.
Sound and NC wise thare are $100 alternatives that come very close.
I would consider Sony or maybe even the noname alternatives if I was able to reverse my purchase.

I have limited but good experience with KitSound Immerse Wireless Bluetooth. I think there have been others on this site in that price range."

Also I find it kinda stupid that cups fold "out" when wearing around the neck. would prefer the soft muffs resting on the chest and nice Bose logo on top -> https://ziiiw76728.i.lithium.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-i…

    • The side that rests on your chest is also the side that faces upwards in the case, so the advantage here is that when you take the headphones out of the case and rotate the ear cups into position, they're ready to go on your head.

The Sony XM3 has it the way you prefer. When you wear them around your neck folded down, the padding is on your chest. BUT when you take them out of the case and rotate the ear cups (or when you want to put them into the case), you then need to swap sides.

Which do you prefer: kinda stupid (Bose) or kinda annoying (Sony)?
