Finally a post for CashRewards going UP for Amazon instead of down.

This would be a good opportunity to double dip with the current targeted Amex offer of spend $100 get $15 back.

    • THANKS- didn't know about that one… just added to my Amex card

REMEMBER - the AMAZON PRIME for Amex holders on is still there for those that haven't used it !!!

  • Note: This store does not report purchases made on its mobile site and app. Please use a desktop device to ensure you receive cashback.

Does that mean cash rewards work on mobiles/apps for stores that don’t have this warning? Like ebay mobile app etc?

    • Edit: Correct answer from TA

Hi aorusozbarg. I've mentioned this in previous posts. The only reason we've disabled the mobile version is to stop the auto-redirection from the CR mobile site to the Amazon App (for those that have it installed), as Amazon does not track App purchases. Tracking from the CR mobile site to the Amazon mobile site however is fine, but we decided this was the best course of action for now.

What about the purchases made via gift cards? Would they get 11% cash back?

  • Time to get iPhone XS from Amazon.

    • haven't started selling on amazon yet i don't think

      • You don't think, or you do think?

  • goes well nicely with the amex $15 off

  • amazon will have all the excuses not to pay you

  • Just did this for some Timberlands as I missed the David Jones and Myers offers! Was cheaper than Asos and with a free Prime trial

Does it have to be sold directly by Amazon au or any third party on Amazon? Is there a limit to the total cashback?

  • +2

Nice match but unfortunately I've had had heaps of trouble getting my Amazon AU purchases tracked by CR. I've had to make a manual claim for my last 5+ purchases and it gets slightly annoying having to request invoices from the actual sellers. Not sure if it's just me though?

    • Think it would be something on your end. Make sure you have all ad blockers turned off and maybe try a different browser.

I make ALOT of purchases on Amazon through CR and I've never had one not track. I just use chrome with no ad blockers installed.

Thought so too at first but I've never had issues with tracking with any other retailer before this (always using Chrome with adblock off). Recently I made a purchase on Amazon AU which was untracked and then later on in the day I made a purchase from Gearbest which tracked within 10 minutes so I just don't know. Of course CR are excellent at adding it for me once I attach the proof but it's fairly inconvenient and ends up being overdue to have it confirmed.

    • I am in the same boat, except the for the last two or three transactions. CR are always super helpful and get it sorted but it is rather annoying. The last two or three have worked automatically, so maybe there has been an improvement in the system? Fingers crossed!

  • Is there a difference between using Cashrewards or Shopback?

If the cashback % is the same is one preferred over the other for any reason?

no #. I've been using CB for a year, totally new to SB 3 weeks ago and now on i stick to SB, it has an extension to chrome which reminds me and never miss since then. Also, even if you open through SB to a tab, and by bad chance, you pay from another tab (that is not opened through SB), it can still be registered.

      • +1

Thanks @sonca. CR has a Chrome extension as well which has been good for reminding me. That's good that SB still recognises the transaction from another tab. I'm pretty sure I lost a sale or 2 from CR because of that.

just down to preference it seems, Shopback is a non-Australia company so that might turn a few people off. For me personally I shop at whatever one offered the discount first if it's the same %

      • +1

Thanks @toblerone21. Same, will just go with the cheaper one too but just new to SB so thought I'd check :)

        • +1

Exactly. The only reason I stick with SB is it recorded the purchase even from another tab. Save me 3 purchase in 2 weeks. Also, I know SB has extension is because it reminds me several time until I install…while CR with me for nearly a year but I dont even k ow it has and it never reminds me too.
Btw. Sb is having 30% cash back until 8pm today

  • Hey guys, any excellent price on Spark drone?

  • Think I stuffed up with this… just signed up to get the bonus $15 from cashrewards then did a shop on amazon for the 11% and paid with my CC linked to my amazon account which is a mastercard… then noticed that visa card is required to to use cashrewards. Doh… :(

What cards does shopback use ??

    • The visa card offer is a seperate thing to the normal cashback. Your mastercard is fine to use on Amazon. (as long as you've followed the rest of the rules. ie no mobile, last click, items not in cart before click through etc.)

      • Sweet… thanks for the reply Kulprit, good to know.. guess I will see in a couple of days if it went through… I think I did all the right things to get the rewards.. its in my click history so fingers crossed…. thou not sure what u mean by last click.

  • I have an account with Amazon AU but I've never purchased anything off there before. Is there still a $20 code to use for first purchase? I'm hoping to stack that coupon with cash rewards with the amex offer. TIA

  • mmmm nothing to get on amazon au though sigh

  • Hmmm I just pre-order Let's go Pikachu and only got 10% ???

    Nevermind - I'm a stooge. It's 11%

  • Bloody fantastic. Does anyone know if CR works with Amazon credit?

  • If my method of payment is an amazon gift card, I should still be eligible for the 11% cashback yeah?
