Thought this seemed like a good price for the newer version of the Nespresso coffee pod solution. I understand the coffee won't be to everyone's tastes, but hard to beat for convenience.

Can attest to it. The availability of 3rd party pods and the limited number of flavours were a huge deciding factor for me. The new vertuo series have something like 18 or 20 flavours but they are spread across 5 different sizes.
Note that the vertuo series allow up to 5 different capacity sizes of coffees, whereas the regular ones only come in 2 sizes..
And they're almost $1 a pod 🤪
I only use it for large cup or need to take it on the road.
Sounds like a decent price after cashback, but these new pods taste horrible compared to any nespresso or even nespresso compatible pods.
Strongly recommend you taste test these pods in store before committing.
The other thing to consider is that there's probably no third party compatible pods available for this machine either.
