Perfect for everyone who bought the Isopropyl alcohol deal. Load a few of these up and spray away you can also use a spray bottle. After dedoming an LED i like to use some pressurised alcohol to clean the phosphorus layer to get the excess silicon of.

  • If I need to measure something exactly do I need to take into account the amount of liquid in the needle?

    • +8

The needle bit will still be full after you push the plunger all the way down.

      • Ahh! Thats a good point. Thanks

      • +3

But the needle bit was full when you measured so itll still be right. This is why your not my doctor

I once wanted to buy syringes (with blunt needles) to refill fountain pen cartridges. No go - and even if anyone was permitted to sell them to me, the price was going to be rather high. It was a price that I was happy to pay.

    So.

I ordered them online (ex Malaysia). Very inexpensive. Turns out that they were manufactured in Australia!

    Numpties rule.

(…and the syringes still work perfectly)

    • Go to the hospital if you need sharp needles (they have a vending machine out the front at most places - $2 for a whole sharps set)
Go to the chemist if you need ones like these (no needles) but speak to the pharmacist about it. They will sell you them for like 30c - 60c. I got mine from Priceline to measure out sanitizer. No issues.

      • I bought a bigger one from the chemist a while back for injecting white spirit into golf grips to break down the grip tape adhesive. Would be handy to have a few more if I could work out how to register an account.

in this case sharing is not caring

  • You mean these come with the actual needles?

Will there be an issue with Customs?

    • +1

No issue with customs, I've ordered quite a few from Fasttech in the past..

  • +6

Great deal to send to people you don't like.
61 cents to waste hours of their time wondering why they received a box of needles.
Also great to convince their partners they have a secret drug habit.

    • -1

      This item doesn't include needles.

      • +1

The photos and reviews suggest otherwise ??

  • does anyone use these for cooking? Injecting flavour into foods or cake filling?

    • my sister is a nurse and uses similar for piping icing onto cakes and other things in the kitchen.

I had some larger ones I got at some point for a fancy dress costume ( along with surgical mask, stethoscope, shoe covers etc). I use them for measuring accurately around the house as needed.

      • for piping icing onto cakes

        What kind of cakes 😯😐😑

      • I had some larger ones I got at some point for a fancy dress costume ( along with surgical mask, stethoscope, shoe covers etc). I use them for measuring accurately around the house as needed.

Wait, do I reaaally need syringes???

Hmmm, maybe. I've got a lot of projects around the house to do.

Yeah, and a syringe or two is bound to be super helpful.

But 50! of them? And then I've got to store them somewhere.

    Naaaaaah. Give it a miss.

(Fast forward two months, while struggling with a critical repair…)

Man, this project would be dead simple if only I had a syringe. FML!

  • Youngs kids have a lot to learn from the comments on this post

  • the key is to just purchase enough for your “use” then go to your nearest government run medical centre and exchange your used one for fresh new ones for FREE via the needle exchange program.

There is even a website to help you find your nearest needle exchange

    https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/search-results/needle%20exch…

    • +1

You don't actually have to exchange anything to get free injecting equipment… according to my friend.

In the 1970's, I tried to buy a syring at the chemist as I want to put a little gear oil in my " sealed for life" tie-rod ball-joints, and the chemist wouldn't sell me one as they suspected I was a junkie. In the 80's I tried again in Adelaide, and I couldn't buy one as I was silly enough to tell them I wanted it for ball-joints, and I wasn't a junkie…

    • +5

In the 80's I tried again in Adelaide, and I couldn't buy one as I was silly enough to tell them I wanted it for ball-joints, and I wasn't a junkie…

The chemist probably knew that there are no joints down there…

  • No deal. I can get them for free around the public toilets in a local park. Sometimes there's something left in them and it's kind of like a lucky dip surprise!

    • Yep Hep ABC and the HIV coupled with some AIDS… not sure what you'll get lol

      • Junkies usually have the lot

  • How trusty is the site, seems to have a lot of neg reviews. Looks like the syringes are back to the sale price.
