Shaving gel $3 for 200 ml! Been waiting for a deal on shaving gel since Amazon don't usually include it in their offers - thanks OP. Free shipping over $25 with shipster too.

My favourite. Will buy from store 2mrw thanks

  • Shave sticks are still just as cheap, and provide a better lather, so I'll stick with them (I personally get Wilkinson Sword sticks off Connaught Shaving on eBay for their lanolin-infused goodness).

But the discount on Nivea for Men Moisturizer and Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm are definitely impressive. I'll get ten of each.

    • Tend to forget about that option, the cans make it too easy I guess…

      • Cans are fine, but can be a bit dry. That’s fine if you have a light to moderate beard, but with a heavier beard, a proper lather with a brush can help soften it up to get a smoother shave with less effort.

Just go with what works for you and gives you the best results with least effort.

        • Yeah mate I only shave once a week and I'm 52…
          Thanks for the reply….

Mildly soaked Hot cloth on face for a min then lather with soapy water…better, cheaper (more relaxing) then these harsh chemicals

Extra: add some refreshing scents like eucalyptus or other fragrences to the hot water for relaxation and open the nasal passage

    • If you’re doing that, why not use a proper soap designed for shaving? They’re not expensive and will work better than hand soap.

      • Haven't come across one before, any recommendations?

        • Soap sticks are cheap. A few dollars for a stick that will last you months. The best way to use them is to wet your face, then rub the stick all over it, then lather up with a brush (any will do - they range from $6 for a synthetic one at Big W to $30-50 online for one made from pure badger hair).

Arko is a nice cheap soap stick that will last 3+ months (for $3 per stick if you buy a dozen on eBay). But I buy Wilkinson Sword soap sticks for around $20 for four from Connaught Shaving in eBay. They're infused with lanolin and give an impressive, soothing lather.

I've even seen Palmolive sticks at supermarkets in the shaving section on the odd occasion. But they're more expensive than the online options, and I find them to be not as good (but still better than hand soap).

  • I'm not sensitive will this work still?

My favourite one, I shave my head and face with this everyday for years with this.

Some people even say I still look relatively normal.
