  • Anyone have one or something similar- want to do my door frames and skirting boards

I've got the 585, which is pretty close to this one. I mainly use it for furniture, but I belted through an entire fence in like 3 beers. It'll definitely get the job done. Bit of a pain to clean, but it gives a smooth spray and it's nice and controllable.

That said, for stuff like that, you might spend more time masking stuff than actually painting.

I've got the Ozito one for small outside jobs… https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-400w-power-paint-spray-gun…

Biggest issue with these small guns is thinning the paint to the right consistency, and they only have a relatively small reservoir.

For door frames and skirting boards, because you have a nice smooth surface, I think a small roller would be a much better option. Spray guns are fairly messy (overspray) and a bit of a pain to clean up afterwards.

And if you're into spending around the $200 mark, the big airless sprayers (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-700w-airless-paint-sprayer…) are a huge improvement over these fan based guns.

    • With frames and skirting, you are better off with a good brush.

The only difference between the Flexio 570 & 590 are… The Flexio 590 has 9 different air settings where as the Flexio 570 only has 2. The Flexio 590 also comes in a "tool case" where as the Flexio 570 only comes in its box.

The Flexio 570 & 590 can spray paints unthinned.

I want to redo the paint on my house, inside and out. I'll be removing all furniture.

Better to do with rollers or sprayer?

    • +1

If you are removing your furniture… spraying will be heaps easier. Just put a drop sheet on the floor and mask up any areas (I.e light switches) that you don’t want to paint. You can cover your windows with a plastic film that you can also get at Bunnings that will protect them during your painting.

  • Sprayer will be up to 10 times faster. You do need to prep your area but you will make up for it in the long run. Check out this for some ideas https://www.9now.com.au/the-block/season-13/extras/clips/cli…
