No. This time the price is above zero.
Is coffee club still full of old people that haven't worked out that the coffee is average and the food is worse?
Always get a double shot.
Please. They charge enough as is.
I can get a coffee that I'll actually enjoy (yes with a double shot) for less so not sure why I'd go here?i cant believe this chain is still in business, it’s worse than starbucks and that’s saying something!
@Bellyup: Agreed. The coffee is like dishwater, I wouldn't head back if they were giving the coffee away with no strings attached. They obviously use cheap beans.
@[Deactivated]: After getting Lukewarm coffee's coupled with the junk beans, yeah, not going back even if they were free
it appears you guys are in the wrong website - this is Ozbargain where BoGoF deals are ALWAYS welcome. Even more so when membership is half price.
I'm more than happy to put up with average products if I can get two for one. And whether the food is good or not is irrelevant - you don't need to eat there. This website may be more to your taste:
https://coffeesnobs.com.au/Lol $5 for two average small coffees or $3 for one good large one.
I know which one I'd rather. Freebies are welcomed on Ozbargain - but when the alternative is better it's not.
It's $4 for two small coffees = large if you put them together.
I'd go for the $3 large coffee too if you can find it (note - most cafe large is only a coffee club medium and go for $4-$5).
Please share where you get the $3 large. Most people aren't so lucky though.
@edvoon: It doesn't hide the fact it is sub par coffee…
Why would you pay $12.50/year and have to STILL pay $4 for 2 smalls (that's inconvenient) when they are luke warm and not made with any knowledge or experience. One of the cafes at uni has a large for $3.50 - $28 for 9 coffees (loyalty card) or around $3.10 each. It's actually made by a barista and in 2 years I've never had a bad coffee there.
Went to the coffee club twice and both coffees were terrible.
Does it stack with an existing membership?
One can renew only in the last three months.
Thank you
How can a business with coffee as it's core product afford these memberships?
Its all the other crap they upsell at massive gp (and coffee has massive gp itself).
I never see a cc store really busy (are they even in cbds or just malls) and even then they're not fast with their service, so I'm thinking they know you won't really come back heaps to milk the value in free coffees.
In Brisbane, there's a single Coffee Club right beside the Supreme Court. But there's also an actual coffee shop that used to serve Lavazza coffee (now Di Bella, so that's a serious downgrade).
Coffee club is very popular in Thailand and alot better than the Australian chains they have here, food and coffee much better than here.
The worst coffee.
Sour as grapes
At least coffee club coffee tastes like actual coffee, and not that awful fancy crap with hints of fruit that tastes like fermented goats milk
Have to agree, have access/regularly visit some of the top end coffee shops throughout Melb and cannot understand the hate towards coffee club. Maybe it's a particular drink, barista or location based but my local isn't bad at all!
Bang! Mine just expired recently, perfect timing..
wtf am i supposed to do with the second free coffee?
Who knows? Some crazy people I know actually drink the stuff!!
when the missus isn't coming with me I get it to come out later or takeaway for when I'm done eating.
Clever marketing… Bring a 2nd person to make use of the "free" coffee… Buy twice as much food etc.
Buy two small coffees and drink them all yourself - cheaper than getting a large.
Don't eat there if you want maximum savings.
The 2 small actually does roughly work out the same size as the large I think.
Is their coffee really that bad? I see the negative feedback everytime. Is there anyone here who actually likes their coffee? Their shops are usually reasonably busy, they must be doing something right & they've been around for a long time!
yeah nah dont listen to them. try for yourself
Those are haters. Try one yourself.
Meh, I might be interested if they included cold brew or iced coffee (the plain stuff not the fancy crap with whipped cream all over it and enough sugar to kill a horse). As it is, a Starbucks has literally just opened right beside work so I'll probably check out their nitro cold brew offering.
My local isn't too bad. Considerably better than the crap that Starbucks or Gloria Jeans serve up.
It's not hard to beat a Gloria Jeans.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I was at a Starbucks in NZ recently and the staff just pressed a button at a coffee machine and put a cup underneath it.
Yet they charge the same as real barista coffee. (Yes I ordered before noticing this)Seriously if Starbucks does that here I might as well get $1 7-Eleven coffee instead.
you'd be surprised the 7 eleven coffees aren't half bad :)
So it is full bad?
For anyone who's recently renewed - do you still get a free coffee voucher with membership?
Is this gunna get ozbargained like last time lol?
