10% storewide with code until 9am tomoz.
Surface Go hasn't been on sale many times, so I thought worth highlighting.

Very tempted! I've been looking at getting a surface go for a while but I want to wait till Apple's October announcement before I buy anything. There's also rumours MS will release a surface go with LTE before the end of the year. Hoping they will release a more powerful version at the same time.
i'd love to think they'd realise a more powerful version too, however i think they'll stick to current specs. also i think with the addition of LTE and IF they bumped the specs, the price jump may be prohibitive for a small portable device such as this.
Yep, I'd love the LTE version
4GB RAM on a $500 laptop? who do they think they are? apple?
no its not a laptop
If it's used as a laptop that's good enough for me. 90% of people that I have seen with a surface have never used it without the keyboard. If not the ram, it should at least have some more storage. 64GB with windows 10 is really cutting it.
Also worth mentioning again that the 64gb variant is eMMC storage not SSD, which will severely hinder the speed of the device
@Philthy Phill: Pretty awful when 128gb SSDs are regularly $30 (even though they aren't the same I know).
@Presence: Not far off though Presense. Was pretty foolish of Microsoft to hobble the most affordable variant in this way.
It’s a tablet
who do they think they are? apple?
Pretty much.
Although they seem to be more practical instead of making devices with useless keyboards like Apple does now.
Agreed. For the past three years Apple has not impressed me one bit with anything they have put out. The 12'' MacBook appealed to me a lot because of how thin and light it was with excellent battery life but it had the keyboard issue you just mentioned. Apple at least does alright in the software. Can't say Microsoft do well in either. Only thing that Microsoft have made that has impressed me is the Xbox One X. I bought it during the JB deal and it's quite a nice console for $500 all things considered but idk if Xbox truely counts as microsoft's thing.
Somebody check the prices on TGG Commercial and report please?
$520/$712
what the. how to get TGG commercial?!
@sss333: ok thanks. i'm looking at getting the type cover and pen too. total with the 10% off is $1057. is the type cover and pen cheaper on the commercial as well?
@hibijibis: On commercial black type cover is $108, other colours $144 for surface go, surface pen is $101
@sss333: thanks for that. the combo on commercial is 957 which is 100 cheaper than the 10% off deal. commercial here I come! lol. hopefully they do cashrewards. haha
This is good to know. I am kind of holding out for the LTE version to released in the next few weeks/months but….
In some ways, i'm kind of tempted by a Surface device… But then I remember the various battles I've had with Windows.
To list a few:
There are of course work around for most issues. With the last few updates, I have found myself spending more and more time in the Registry Editor or Group Policy Editor.
And of course the data loss bugs with October Update. It just feels like the OS is losing quality.
I definitely think the device has it's place, but Microsoft needs to fix Windows 10. Windows 10, especially home versions can sometimes be a pain for portable devices.
lots of good points. although sadly i cant see any other alternatives for a fully fledged OS at 500gm with this build quality. maybe the closest equivalent is the 12" macbook?
Microsoft Windows LTSC. Basically all the stuff you hate is absent, doesn't even have edge installed.
Windows 10 is a non-stop stream of annoyances and issues that occasionally forces your computer to die.
I wanted to like it but it has numerous issues.
Surface has more issues than one of my desktop PC's.
Minor warning: These come preloaded with Windows 10 S, which is locked down to Windows Store apps only. Thankfully under the Updates category in Settings there's a free (and painless) upgrade to Windows 10 Home (which lets you run regular programs)

New to surface.
Any chance to upgrade ssd storage in these surface model?
Nope, these are sealed-up tablets not meant for user-servicing
Even trying to replace the battery is exceptionally difficult:

thanks! just saw this. can also get 10% off the type cover. although didnt see whether they sell the pen or not.
