Cashback increased to $20 until midnight Sunday AEDT, so literally a free starter SIM :)

    • +1

Any limit on cashback claim per account, or is it open slather?

Is the cashback tracking tied to the starter pack like with amaysim?

      • Same question here - definitely no exclusions currently mentioned but don’t want to go ahead without confirmation.

      • +4

For clarity, this has been added to the terms:

For the $20 Cashback promo (ending Sunday midnight AEDT), Cashback is limited to 1x transaction/Cashback per Cashrewards account.

  • +2

Activation to be done by …… ?

    • +3

SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.

      • TA, they have made a mistake in the delivery process and I'm yet to receive the SIM starter pack. An escalated case has been raised. It is unlikely that I would be able to receive it and activate by the due date, would the cashback be honoured or should I request for a refund instead?

        • Hi Camelback. The terms in the post are strictly those. I’d love to be able to say I’d make an exception, but the call is Boost’s. I’m confident however that you should be fine, especially if you hold onto all the evidence that you weren’t at fault. I’m also assuming that your transaction tracked successfully. Look me up if I can be of further assistance. Thanks.

      30 days

  • +8

FYI - boost is dodgy~ they say sim cards expire in like 2-3 years but realistically a lot sooner and you have to do a TIO complaint. My exp + others in past. you can research it in the forums somewhere so unless your activating soon be warned :D

    • +2

      be warned :D

Pointless warning, if you had read the terms of this offer

SIM must be activated with 30 days of ordering.

So unless these sims expire before 30 days of ordering no problem.

      • +1

True and nope I didn't read em but still keep in mind if u get it and sim says expiry is in another year and think it's ok to keep longer then past Exp shows it won't work.

      • +5

There is a chance they don't work on delivery, yes. There was a Groupon deal a while back and some batches didn't work at all despite expiring in 2020. I bought a $2 blank SIM and asked them to transfer the credit from the useless SIM… they transferred and activated on a new number for me which was just as useless as I wanted to port. So I think it's a valid warning, they may have sorted this out by now but in the past there have been issues.

    • +1

How does that make a difference for this deal? You need to activate within 30 days to get the cashback.

      • Because ur dealing with the same company -_-

        • +1

You’re not getting the point. To get the cash back it needs to be activated within 30days. So your comment about whether it expires in 2 years or not is useless cause it needs to be activated in a month anyways.

  • +1

How long will it take to get the Cashback?

    • +1

Im assuming the standard wait so upto 90days.

  • +2

Wow great deal. I like free stuff, thanks jack & arse.

  • -7

Don't bother guys, wait for catchconnect or kogan deal for less than a dollar value….

    • +6

      but this is free…

    • +2

This is Telstra though, so still has value for that.

  • -5

Huh? The last few prepaid mobile deals were cash positive. Now its cash neutral.

    • +6

Huh? Can't believe you are whinging on a free deal because you want free money as well!

    • +1

      Now its cash neutral.

Yep, age for entitlements is over.

      • Still a dollar to be made from the Cashrewards + Amaysim Unlimited 2.5GB deal until midnight tonight. :p

  • HI TA,
Under the Cashrewards Special Terms: Cashback is not eligible on prepaid phones." What does that mean? And how long do I have to stay with Boost to be eligible for cashreward?

  • -3

Be careful when buying on mobile, it is Very unfortunate that Cashrewards doesn’t track mobile purchases.

    • +2

Why did you have to say the same thing twice but 35 minutes apart

      • +1

        Got Alzheimer’s sorry

  • +1

Is the SIM sent via express post?

    • Curious to know too as I need it asap.

  • I clicked on the link via Cashrewards to arrive at BOOST website.

I selected PayPal as the payment method and it directed me to the PayPal website for login.

After PayPal login, I was directed back to the BOOST website to confirm purchase.

    Will I get the cashback?

(I have made payment of $20 via PayPal, $20 cashback does not appear on my Cashrewards account)

    • +2

I did the same as you. Just check that it shows up on the cashrewards click history. I received the confirmation email from cr about an hour later after the purchase.

    • "chnach" Can you please rapport back your results to help others here.

      • +1

I did the same as chnach and still haven't gotten confirmation email. Bought Sat 16:45
It did show the click history but that's about it.

        • Thanks for reply. I gave it a miss as sounded like a risk that could have cost me $20 if cash-back did not work as I have loads of data for next two months anyway.

    • Exactly same as me, I did not get any confirmation email. I opened a support ticket with them and provided all details like order number etc. Lets see what happens next?

  • Grab one! It's not as good as free money, but still good free sim to hop in from catch!

  • Can I port to Boost from Telstra postpaid for the JB Hifi Telstra deals?

    • Just guessing here but probably not.

  • +3

@TA if we port out back after activting . do we still get a cashback or do we have to stay with BOOST for 95 Days ??

  • +1

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Is the renewal auto by default on SIM activation? If so, how to disable the auto-renewal?

    • +4

Boost/Telstra do not ask for a Credit/Debit card to activate sim, so no auto-renewal by default here.

You need to manually activate auto-renewal.

  • @tightarse
I purchased $20 Boost mobile sim through Cashrewards last night, but my rewards balance is still zero. I have disabled adblockplus, etc. My order number is BO57234.

    • +1

Tracking can sometimes take a few days. If it still hasn’t shown up after 7 days, you can send an enquiry from your Click History.

  • the Old Sim i got from Boost over 1 year ago no good ?

  • Great deal, but it expires today, so grab it while you can.

Speaking of expiry, is there a way to hide expired deals on this website?

It is the most annoying and time-wasting, not to mention pointless, option.

I have no idea how to disable it, and I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

It's a bit off topic but seeing as the offer is expiring today, and therefore this post will be at the very end of this thread, I don't think it will be obtrusive or that unseemly.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Do I need to have an active service with Boost to get the cashback? Can I port away from Boost after the 28 day deal has ended?

  • Can anyone confirmed if this has expired? Is Sunday mid night referring to last night?

    • +1

Works fine so is midnight on Sunday (which is tonight). I signed up without issue and got my Cashrewards email.

  • How long should I wait for the confirmation email from cashrewards? Hoping do not lose tracking again.

    • +1

Updated: wonderful, got confirmation within 2 hours.

  • yea i think i might have got skipped

  • Still haven't received tracking :(. Ordered on Sat night (Sunday morning AEST).

  • Still waiting for SIM, 😔

  • Did anyone receive SIM? I am still waiting.

    • I got mine last week. It was "delivered" by Star Track express, but rather than actually delivery, I got carded and I had to go pick up from the local post office.

  • Activated a week ago. Cashreward is still pending on my account. Any idea how long it takes to approve?

The estimated approval date on the page is 30/01/2019, not sure why.

  • how do you check you balance ? i cant find a log on is there an app?

  • thanks for that but i cant find where on there website you can log in?

  • Never received the sim from them. Filed a paypal dispute and got my $10 back.
