That one says its the pro and not the pro 2
Or did they make a mistake in the title?
That's v1.
My bad, it looks like v1.
great deal but looking for 2 pack..
Forgive the really stupid question….but are security cameras like this actually effective?
I am currently thinking about installing something like this but can't get my head clear on what security this actually provides. I understand its a deterrence to burglars…but what if they're not sufficiently deterred?
If someone wants to rob your house, cameras don't physically stop them - it just means the burglars may get filmed doing it. If they wear masks or something to cover their faces, are the cameras rendered useless?
I suppose the cameras could notify you of activity, so you could call the police if you were being robbed….but are there really police officers waiting for such a call who will jump down to your house as a moments notice of a burglary? I mean it's not nice to be robbed of course but it's not exactly a life threatening situation if you're not home..
What do you do if you actually want to physically prevent break-ins rather than just film it happening? Is this where companies like Crimsafe get involved and provide security doors, thick glass, etc?
Options:
Forcefield. I like it. Why didn't I think of that? Can someone find me one on sale?
The base station has a screamer siren and there are also third party sirens you can get that talk to Arlo through smart home apps. It was effective for me - stopped a few junkies from breaking into my house a couple of months ago. Can’t see it stopping a determined burglar tho, but not much would to be honest.
OW has recently updated their price match policy, can anyone confirm if they've been successful price beating an eBay seller with a coupon?
edit: found the answer:
What is excluded from the Price Beat Guarantee?
Cashback and coupon offers (i.e. supplier cashback or reduced price available via paper coupon or electronic codeword)
Commercial quantities and pricing (i.e. a reduced price not available to the public)
Stock liquidations (i.e. competitor clearance products or goods sold by a business placed into receivership)
So yeah cant pricebeat this.
Anyone bought from these guys before? Warranty issues?
Regarding these cameras, from my previous comments:
-=-=-=-=-=-
I believe a minim of two cameras is ideal, which I have set up. I would not use the magnetic mounts outdoors, only indoors. I have complete front coverage of my house using two cameras using fixed screw mounts which was easy to install. These cameras are facing each other. The only way someone can tamper with these is to jump my neighbors fences , climb the wall, and use a ladder to grab these around the corner of the house so they don't put their face in view.
Set up: Extremely easy, even my non-tech savy parents are able to set up their own 4 Camera Arlo Pros easily on their own.

Whats the range for WiFi to the cameras from modem/base?
I'm waiting for ring security to come to Aus, then you will be able to link up your cameras, and security motion sensors and have it all monitored by a professional security company for a much lower monthly fee than the current status quo in monitored security in Aus.
Any deals on a 4 pack?
