[NSW] AmEx Statement Credit: Harris Farm (Spend $120, Get $40 Back)

Credit back is not as good as previous years, but a discount nonetheless.
Possibly targeted as I didn't see it on AMEX Connect. I received it on my AMEX Explorer and AMEX Gold.

    might be select cards

  • On all my cards and supps cards.

    Thanks!

  • Bah none of my cards :|

  • Nothing on my DJs Amex or Velocity Escape Amex (I live in southwest Sydney though if that makes any difference)

  • Didn’t get it :(

  • You beauty …time to buy the expensive Organic Gluten Free blah blah Maple Syrup. Seriously this is a good one for me thanks!

  • I like the specials from harris farm and its imperfect fruit and veggi, and considering the price they are perfect to me. But sadly I don't have this offer in my card.

  • +1

Have the offer on my card :)

Time to check out Harris Farm now

  • Does their online gift card works in store?

    • I want to know too, but I think it's for ONLINE ONLY

    • +1

Previously, online gift cards could only be redeemed online and gift cards bought in store could only be used in store. Not sure about now.

      • That's still the case now.

  • +2

Maybe I'm the anomaly but who spends $120 at Harris Farm?! Granted, their stuff isn't always cheap compared to Coles/Woolies, but again, to hit $120 would take quite a lot of effort!

    • +11

The $120 can be split across one or more transactions.

      • +1

Good catch - and yes, that's the most critical bit of information! Can treat it as spend an average of $24 per week for the next 5 weeks, and then get a third of it back.

        • Harris Farm sells their own giftcards anyway, which makes the offer even better, being valid up to 3 years.

Online giftcards can only be used online while instore giftcards can only be used instore.

          • @Neoika: Has anyone been able to buy a giftcard instore? I just got told that they don't do giftcard anymore, which was quite surprising.

            • @ytictactoe: I bought a $120 giftcard in a Harris Farm Market store on the 26th October with no problems.

              • @Lynne52: Which store was that?

                • @ytictactoe: I bought that gift card from the Mona Vale store. Today I asked if gift cards were sold at the new Cooks Hill store and was told "not yet" as they were just newly opened.

    • I saw someone ahead of me smash $300+ on what looked like a weekly shop. She did not flinch as she tapped.

      • I know people like this. They also waste water and do not recycle. They do save time but I cannot behave like this.

  • None of my 5 cards have got it, it must be targetted.

    • +1

All of my 5 cards have got. Have used a similar promo last year(s) and am a regular shopper there anyway (ie the wrong person to target if it were targeted).

  • Wow! The first time I've received a targeted deal and Harris Farm is already my main supermarket for shopping. Something tells me I shouldn't have been targeted.

    • Depends on whether or not you use the amex card when you shop there

  • Use WEEKLY for 5% off online.

  • Just to clarify- it reads to me as if it can be spent over many transactions?

EG: I could make 20 transactions, and as long as they add up to $120 in total- I'll get the refund… Is that right?

"Spend $120 or more, in one or more transactions … by 30/11/2018"

  • Got on both on my Discovery and Essential card.
Anyone know if we can buy gift cards with this?

  • -1

    Is there a manual link?

  • I have had this before never used it, is it any good?

    • Is what any good? A statement credit? Or are you asking if HF is good for groceries (my answer to that: they're great)?

  • This is why I love AmEx! Will be saving $200 over the next 5 or so weeks without having to change my shopping behaviour (other than rotating my Apple Pay cards a bit)! And then there's Shop Small as well soon!

  • What to buy for worth $120 if you are new to Harris Farm? Anything cheap and special that you don't get elsewhere?

    • +2

Non-perishable groceries. Also as others have pointed out, you don’t need to spend $120 in one transaction, just $120 over multiple transactions

    • +1

There's loads of stuff. Their fruit, veg, meat and cheeses are far better than the other supermarkets and in many cases cheaper. Then there are things like boxes of sparkling water that are great value and beer and wine. Amex offers don't get better than this.

        Beer? Which Harris Farm?

        • They have beer and wine in the Drummoyne store.

    • I bought a tray of mangoes (14 x Kensington Pride) last week for $17.99. They were nice and sweet!

      • Don’t Kensington and Calypso mangoes taste as raw as paw-paw? I’ve never found them tasteful and with aroma like how the mangoes should be (e.g. Alphonso or Kesar). Probably KP is slightly better.

  • Wonder if you qualify for the rebate if you use both online and store front to get to the $120 since they use different pay systems

  • "you’ll need to make a qualifying purchase with your Card before 31/10/2018 to receive the credit to your Card account"
I have a non CBA Amex - free annual fee QFF one, how do you know that it isnt a condition for the other Amex cards?
Fyi, I have received this offer in my amex promotions.

Fyi, I have received this offer in my amex promotions.

Because unlike your Qantas Discovery Amex, CBA Amexes will cease to exist from November 1
