So how do they know that a person is my invited guest?
Do we enter them during registration or during event I just tell them "Hey I brought this person with me; Google Home Mini please?

    • that's a good link

    Heavy selling likely involved.

  • I can't find the google home mini information. If I can't get that I would not bother to register lol.

  • Have been invited to something like this years ago, was very much like a pyrimid scheme with a cult like feeling to it.

No idea about this one, but the last one kept talking about how we need to change our lives to achieve our dreams, chanting and all, they were all super friendly, but it just didn't feel right. Hope this one is different for those who do attend!

Aw yis, get people interested then whack em with the ole $1650 thx trick.

    Statement of Advice (SoA)
Our advice normally entails a discussion about your financial needs, concerns, objectives and strategy options with your advisor. After this meeting, a written SoA is prepared and will be presented to you at a subsequent meeting. The fee generally levied for this process and for the production of the SoA is generally $1,650. However, this fee can vary, depending on the complexity of your financial situation and your personal requirements.

  • Has anyone ever paid the normal price for one of these events?

Given the venues in the link, I wouldn't count on a great dinner whilst you are being hounded by the salespeople.

Bah! I'm not driving down to Gold Coast for a free meal. I should get my folks to go though. They're not far from Southport.

  • A possible way to feed the homeless

    From ASIC:

"CFDs are generally highly geared products. This means the money you invest will generally only be a fraction of the market value of the shares (or other market asset) you're 'contracting' for.

For example, you may only have to put up $5,000 for a $100,000 contract. You are effectively borrowing the other 95%. In that case, a 1% change in the share price can turn into a $1,000 loss (which is 20% of your investment).

The contract is a legally binding agreement, no matter what the market value of the asset is. If the market turns against you, the issuer of the contract:

will require you to pay extra money
may close out your contract, for whatever it's worth at the time, to recover some money. If there's not enough money, you will still be legally obliged to make up the difference.
You're effectively gambling a much larger amount of money than if you went to the casino or racetrack. You face potentially unlimited losses, so think carefully before investing in CFDs.

    Warning
CFDs are complex products. Even experienced investors struggle to understand the risks involved in trading them. You can lose more than your initial investment."
