"All you can eat buffet started from 9th of march"

    -Will there be anything left?
-Will the food still be fresh?

    • +17

The buffet started for the first time on 9th of march to encourage people to eat out with an Idea they can have a good feed, ample variety and not have to pay a huge bill at the end.

Buffet is only 2 days in a week. Please support us. And if you find that even one item in the buffet is not fresh, its my guarantee that you can have you full money back plus extra $50.00 for your trouble.

This is a genuine offer. We want people to taste our food during special night and then come on friday and saturday to enjoy our food.

      • the guy was trying to be funny. I think the smart comment was in bad taste (excuse the pun).

Its a good idea. hope it goes well for you.

  • Do you have a discounted price for kids? What price for kids under 5? Under 12? etc

    • +8

kids under 5 is free and kids under 12 is $10.00

      • +1

sounds good - thanks, will plan to come along sometime soon

      • -2

lol, i'll bring a group of hungry kindergarten children to the restaurant and they will evaporate all the food.

  • -5

    heres a question

    what are the drink costs?

some buffets inflate the cost of drinks to cover the food - nasty but it happens

whats the cheapest bottle of wine on your menu?

    do you have carafes?

what is a soft drink worth and can I buy a jug of it

and very importantly - how much is BEER!

    • From a post above it looks like it's BYO, and then there's always water… :)

      • +1

If so, stop off at woolies and buy a 2L bottle of coke on the way… sorted ;)

        • +1

It's probably byo wine only… rep could probably clarify :)

        • +2

You telling me that wine is better than Pepsi? Huh, no way wine is better than Pepsi.

        • +1

Just between you and me, I'm really excited about the Ring Dings and the Pepsi.

        • +3

These papadums are making me thirsty.

        • +5

First rule of gorging - don't fill up on bread (or any cheap thing like soft drink).

Only drink a minimum; just enough to lubricate the esophagus. Wear loose pants (if any pants) - definitely no belt. Don't eat anything solid for several days beforehand. Evacuate bowels just prior to meal. Do not share the company of people you respect.

    • +2

      jesus christ.

    • +2

We are BYO for all wines and beers. There is a corkage of 1.50 per person which applies on all days.

Drinks we sell are coke, fanta, sprite, lemonade etc. they are again standard $3.50 for 330 Ml.

You cannot come with a bottle of 2 litre coke. All soft drinks have to be bought from the restaurant

      • +1

$1.50 pp for corkage - more than reasonable!

  • nice deal rep

  • Good deal, much better than the previous offer!

  • +1

Is this 1995? What a crazy price for all you can eat! :D

Can you give us a special deal on takeaway?

    I don't like to dine in for 1 :)

    • +7

Go to Dick Smith and ask a cute asian chick out.

    • +1

This is why we need an OzBargain RSVP.

      • +4

        I don't see the point

It would just be Ashlee taking turns on dates with everyone O_o

On the plus side at least I could take her to scoopon restaurants on the first date without looking bad :)

Maybe instead of making jokes I can impress her with bargains I've purchased!

        Start Ozbargain RSVP ASAP!!!

        • +4

psst: I'd start with spelling her name correctly ;)

          (chicks kinda dig that)

      • +1

haha, yeah i think that would fly!

  • +1

    Is the restaurant air-conditioned?

    • +1

      yes. the restaurant is air-conditioned.

      • +1

        sounds like the perfect restaurant

      • -1

No, they have a cheap stationary fan that blows the curry smell from the toilets into the restaurant.

        • lol your having a ball arent ya

      • Sweet! I hate having a nice hot curry in a restaurant without aircon!

  • i'm travelling to qld with the kids for this, see you next week!

  • +11

I checked out the restaurant's Urbanspoon page for some reviews. Amused to see the rep shettysudhir18 himself writing a positive review posing as a customer xD http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/337/1546997/restaurant/Brisbane/…

    • google

      "shettysudhir18"

      ;)

and it matches as well LOCATION

      • +2

thats a good one , as you can see my ebay profile and out of 330 positive feedback score against 1 negative.

Hope that will give ozbargain members an Idea what kind of person I am

        • +6

          Someone who fakes reviews?

    • +3

LOL of the century, such a bi-winning review

      • +4

in fact that was a review that was posted on google by a genuine customer which I posted on urban spoon. If you dont belive that please google in detail about spice of India and you will get that review as well

Well some one who has gone all lengths to publish what i commented on urban spoon wont go to the detail where it originally came from.

I am just a genuine business owner and my job is to promote what the customer likes about spice of India

    • +6

Oh guys ease up. If you don't like the food he'll give you $50. That's a pretty good sign somebody believes in their business.

So some review webmonkey probably advised him to add a positive review or two to generate some interest in his new business - I think I can forgive a dude something that's pretty common in the industry.

Sheesh imagine having your own dirty laundry aired for sticking your neck out.

shettysudhir18: next time we're on the northside we're coming to try it. But I'll warn ya: my wife is a pretty savvy Butter Chicken critic - hope it's a good one!

      • +2

No problems matty. We have had one customer buy 3 butter chicken, 1 mild, 1 medium and 1 hot the same night.

        • +1

Do you make the chicks hot? :P

    • this was a real genuine review posted by a real customer on google reviews. All i did was posted it on urban spoon under my name because as any business owner i wanted to let other people know what customers say about spice of India. if you think thats wrong marketing I am sorry and will ensure any more I put it under "quote"

      • +1

it's all good, we know you are not lying(honest)

      • +1

        +1 issh
All good mate, I just found that review amusing and posted that as a comment. Maybe I shouldn't have (?) as there are a lot more positive reviews about your restaurant. I totally believe what you're saying, but even if you did post that comment yourself it's not a biggie really, everyone does that.

    • LOL, now that's what I call a good find! Bargain! haha ;)

    • busted in the act!

  • +6

Give the guy a break. He's come on here, posted a good deal and responded to questions.
Thats more than enough IMO to qualify.

    • +8

thanks for your support. Also just in case you still do not trust please google my name and you can see what ebay community had to say about me. I have had numerous dealings online with people i have never seen.

I dont believe in short term gains. We are honestly doing a promotion to attract more customers to have dinner. We wont make a huge profit by selling all you can eat @16.95. We want you to taste our food and come and have dinner full price on weekends when you want to take some one out for a nice, tasty, fresh Indian dinner.

thats my sole intention. No greed or no cheating. Please support a genuine offer.

  • +5

I don't care about the self promotion. He was totally up front here so that's enough for me. And it sounds like a great deal.

Will be over sometime to try it out.

    • +2

      thanks mate.

  • -1

Decent deal. Shame about the soft drink prices, the more you eat the more you drink. I'd end up spending as much on drinks as on food.

Hmm, you can't bring softdrink in, but you can bring wine in. Time to take the label off a 2L bottle of mountain dew, and replace it with Chardonnay label. :)

    • +10

tell me how many restaurants let you bring your own soft drinks. Incase you are thirsty we wont say no to a cold glass of water And thats 100% free even though you know how much we pay BCC for drinking water

    • No ones holding a gun to your head telling you to drink bucket loads of soft drinks though!

$16.95 is pretty good for all you can eat, I cant find any all you can eat restaurants under $20 here :(

    • +1

Excuse to bring in a goon bag of wine and get trashed, and then spew some half digested curry and rice over everyone before you get ejected.

    • +1

I didn't say other restaurants let you bring your own soda in, nor did i expect your restaurant to allow it. Anyway, thanks for free water, all you can drink???

Also JLove, who said anything about bucket loads. I said "as much on drinks as on food". At the soft drink prices quoted, $17 gets you less than 5 small soda's, a total of 1.6 litres. That's a reasonable amount to drink when having "all you can eat curry", not really bucket loads.

Sure no one's holding a gun to my head, but i'm simply discussing the value of the deal, taking into account all parametres. The drinks are a significant part of the enjoyment of the meal, for me and many others.

Besides, did i not start my post with "decent deal".

shetty, look out for me with the bottle shaped buldge under my shirt, with mysterious thin tube poking out the collar. :P

      • +1

a total of 1.6 litres. That's a reasonable amount to drink when having "all you can eat curry", not really bucket loads.

You shouldn't need that much with a curry meal dude, quelling the spice fire is what the raita is for IIRC! 1.6L of Mountain Dew = just over 47 teaspoons of sugar too! Hello type 2 diabetes!!! ;)

      • +5

if you can go to that lengths and make it a innovative way to hide the soft drinks, we will let you enjoy it.

We do at spice of India encourage innovation and creativity :)

        • Does the same apply to tupperware containers?

If I load them up in an innovative way its ok right?

          (I'm joking :P)

        • +1

          I love this guy.

      • I tend to only drink diet soft drink. True, i probably wouldn't drink 1.6L, maybe 1L.

Cheers shetty, but i'm just kidding. :)

        • Did you manage to pick up a Camelbak today Josh? ;)

  • I live in Kedron and got the flyer by mail. May pay a visit.

    • +2

please do come and in case you are not happy please feel free to post the most critical comment on the same website

If you do like please allow me the copyrights to post your valuable on urban spoon or you can do the honours yourself. :)

  • +3

People are being harsh. Sounds like a great deal. Would definitely come if it wasn't so far away. ;) Will recommend you to my Queensland friends!

    • +2

      thanks a lot

  • +1

I'm not sure if you noticed my post, but is it possible you can offer a deal for takeaway?

    • we are happy with the volume of takeaway we do. But the din-ins are disappointing. thats one of the reasons we came up with such a huge offer.

There are very good takeaway offers every night of the week. the best offer is the sunday night offer.

      • You need some hot and spicy chicks to add some fire to the curry.

  • +1

Will be coming in this week! I thought that I've tried every Indian restaurant on Gympie Road (there are a few), but obviously I missed this one. Perfect bargain to get through the door :)

    • after you eat so much food you won't be able to get through the door on the way out!

      • +4

we have a double door just in case. Normally only one door is sufficient but just in case you do grow larger after the meal, we are more than happy to open the second half of the door.

  • +5

    i like this rep

  • Yea I might give it a go :D Come up one day

  • +3

I'm not from QLD, but a big positive for the deal. Genuine offer and a cheap price, that is how you are supposed to do it Scoopon!

  • +1

All we need now is a decent buffet indian restaurant in melbourne.. :)

  • -2

if you were in sydney i would rape the food extra spicey.

    • You'd rape it?

    • lol i can imagine right now….

      it's hot and spicy..

  • +2

thanks ozbargain and its members. today we have a bookings at sharp 6.30 which is amazing to see. I will make every effort to keep you all happy.

    • Can you deliver to Sydney???

Just kidding…good luck with it Shetty.

  • +4

Thanks for the good meal tonight. We'll be back.

  • We went there last week, nice food, and great value. If any Ozbargainers are thinking of going I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
    Thanks
