    • Yes worth to check out the online price tomorrow.

It's available for the same price + free delivery at Microsoft store.

Personally I find the Vive an extremely hard purchase to justify when you can get the Rift direct from Oculus for just 599 delivered.

Rift tracking is probably close to, if not as good, as Vice tracking but them Rift Touch controllers are just the best thing ever for hand presence.
At $200-300 less I'd say getting a Rift over a Vive is a no brainer unless you want full body tracking

      • This. I have a Vive but the best games are actually on the occulus store. Revive plays some of the games but it's buggy and not native. Investing in full body tracking isn't really worth it as it's not supported by any games bar vr chat. Trust me I've also bought the trackers! Also consider that you'll probably want to buy the deluxe audio head strap as the original sucks-that's an extra $150.

  • I got Oculus Marvel Powers United VR Special Edition Rift for $626 from amazon.com.au and pay $5.90 prime membership to get rift ship for free from us.
Note: you can also use cashreward to get $36 cashback (5%)

  • Any good games to play on these?

    • +1

Beat Saber, Out of Ammo, Space Pirate Trainer, Accounting, Job Simulator just to name a few of my favourites.

      • Tell me more about this Accounting Job Simulators. Does it have the virtual office hanky panky?

        • They're just fun puzzle games :P Job Simulator is more suited for all ages.

Superhot VR, Pavlov VR, Project Cars 2, Onward, Beat Saber (with hundreds of custom songs), Tilt Brush and Google Earth VR are some of my favs atm.

      • +1

        Superhot is so good.

        • Definitely Superhot also recommend a small video Face your fears.:)

      • Umm. Is Beat Saber what I think it is because that's a game I think I'm already pro level at IRL.

  • A few months ago I just went to Harvey Norman and spoke with one of the sales girls at the nunawading store. She spoke with the manager and agreed to sell it for 800. I would suggest going down to a store or at least call in to see if they can offer a discount.

  • was lucky enough to get in on the $700 price a while back and kind of regret it tbh, lol. might try to sell for like 500, only used it twice. make sure you have enough room and the patience to set it all up. and if you are lucky enough to be able to leave your lighthouses etc. and not have to pack it all up, i envy you. I even bought stands for my lighthouses T_T

    • I would take that off your hands fro $500.

      • if you're in brisbane, its yours.

        • Newcastle, care to post it?

        • I'm in Brisbane, where abouts are you, I'll buy it for $500 (Signed up for ozbarg finally, cant message, add me on discord ryanwe#7844)

          • @ryanwe: added, im junjuns#8023 if it doesnt work, all lowercase. (sorry madmanmick, bit of a hassle packing/shipping)

As I still use a nexus 5, i didn't think it would have the power so I haven't tested it ..

Just gotta find the best headset for iPhone now…

Jesus Christ please do not compare some cardboard strapped on a 5 year old phone to hundreds of dollars of actual technology lol.

Phone 'VR' does so much to damage the public's perception of the actual tech, it's frustrating.

      • Thinking about how I could tell you further, but in all seriousness, it's that bad of you just want to dabble with the technology… Have you tried it yet?

        • grabs popcorn
