At the front of the at the clearance section. There is a trolley loaded with boxes of mixed beers.
Close to best before date. Various beers in mixed boxes. Eg. 1 box was half filled with Furphy.

Yeah. * twitch *
Not really related, but just out of interest, why aren’t clean skin beers, like, a thing?
Yeah but they should be cheaper than that!
Agreed.
Is that just a brand name though. Imported from Korea. And not exactly a good price.
that cleanskin is bread by Hite. i always found it to be hit or miss in terms of quality. one batch would be deliciously smooth, the next tasted like crap.
Technically the cheapest stuff from aldi/bws/liquorland etc with just a fake company would be exactly that. But I'm just guessing as wine grapes are more plentiful and need to be used in a shorter time than barely, yeast, hops which can be dried, cleanskins were created to move more product and increase demand. Cask wine at one stage was hugely successful and cleanskins are really just following that trend as people poo poo it and think whatever in a bottle is better. An old boss used to say you could bottle cat piss and someone would buy it.
Because the tax on beer in Australia is insane
You can get a bottle of wine for $1-2 (7-9 std drinks)
I've never seen a bottle of wine for $1-$2 !
there were some deals a few years ago through winemarket, grays and naked wines which allowed for some stupendous voucher stacking that lead to extremely cheap wine.

People buy beer on a badge - Chuck Hahn said the macro lagers in Australia differ in recipe by less than 2%
…BEER's?
