TASTING NOTES
Mountain Goat Aussie Wheat Beer – 24 Pack
Mountain Goat has been championing Aussie craft beer since 1997, putting their own spin on the classics from their first ever release, Hightail Ale – a modern take on English Amber Ales, to the original Summer Ale, and Steam Ale. 25 years on that innovative spirit has led us to their biggest challenge yet: reinvigorating a wheat beer for whole new generation of drinkers. Made with locally-grown wheat, this beer isn’t just a riff on a classic; this is Aussie Wheat Beer. In the can you’ll find a slightly hazy brew, with notes of mandarin and pear and a crisp finish that’s immensely refreshing.

Are you saying jv is actually old enough to drink? I blocked his inane comments ages ago and assumed he was a young teenager who thought he was being funny.

The beers are good just a pity about the shipping. For most of us it's now super expensive. Hopefully they can sort something better in the future as $20+/case is just not doable for me.

    • Agreed. at $89 I might give it a go, but at over $100 it's too much of a gamble on a wine I don't know.

      • It used to be $10 shipping but that covered up to 3 cases delivery. Albeit with the worst courier in the world (Couriers Please - half don't even turn up) but still worth the slow and unreliable shipping for the price.

Now at $20…. And not sure who they are shipping with now. My last order had a case go missing (with the aforementioned Couriers Please) and it's just been re-sent - with (you guessed it) Couriers Please.

        • We totally get it regarding the changes in shipping. To be honest, it's been really challenging to find cost efective solutions for the freight of heavy items (for everyone) and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

We have worked with a number of customers and have been able to find some more cost effective routes for bulk orders of 10 or more. If you plan to place a bulk order, please let us know. We’ll do our best to explore any possible savings and work with you to find the most cost-effective solution.

Alternatively if you are driving through Geelong, we can organise a pick up from our warehouse.

We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support.

          Cheers

      • Also, I think the wine goes for just over $5 a bottle.

  • Shipping kills this deal for me

    • Hi @corremn. The last place we can find selling these wines was from between $17 and $25 per bottle. Sadly the winery has shut down and we have the remaining stock. My personal pick is the Dry red and the 2010 Shiraz!
