So I actually bought this at Bunnings for $11.98 a month ago.
I could not believe how good it was - surge protection, individual switches, overload protection switch on the plug, slim design, 1.8m cord.
Anyway I went back a few days later and the cheeky buggers jacked up the price to $21.80 (https://www.bunnings.com.au/hpm-10-amp-4-outlet-surge-protec…).
Anyway I hope enough of you people Ozbargain this deal by price matching at Bunnings, which will hopefully make them reduce its price permanently.
I've also had the 2 x Arlec powerboards for $20.90, but they are bulkier and the switches don't switch as easily as these HPMs.
The last HPM switched outlet I bought from Bunnings was a total bust. After a few months of trivial usage one of the outlets started playing up. I couldn't find the receipt so I pulled it apart to see what it looked like. It was just about the worst conceivable design one could imagine. The contacts were flimsy, prone to misalignment - in fact, it looked like they were designed on purpose to become misaligned - and fiddly to put together.
I wouldn't get another one if they paid me to take it.
