No one rush no more now. This should be standard price very soon

  • whats the delivery price

    • $8.95 standard and $18.95 insured to vic

    • Depends on your postal area. You can add it to cart, and on the left side there's 'shipping calculator'

    • Add $8.95 (going by metropolitan postcodes)

Hvant followed SSD's in along time but my first 120g one was Crucial and awesome quality. How does this compare to the S 860 evo?

    • +3

Samsung 860 Evo has a higher TBW endurance and therefore better. 600 vs 360 iirc.

      • Endurance is so high as to be meaningless for most users, transfer speed is more important.

        • +2

That is minimal between the two. The high TBW is important because your warranty is for 5 years or until the TBW is reached.

@Clear: For reference I have a 500GB 850 EVO that I use as a game drive (constantly uninstalling and installing new AAA games every week) And I have written 3.2TB in 1 year.

I also have a 128GB M2 as a boot drive for windows which has 4TB written in 9 months.

          • +1

@Clear: It's more likely the 5 years warranty time will run out long before you ever reach the TBW endurance unless you are going to torture your ssd 24/7.

            • @iironhide: Many OzBargainers are more than your average consumer and will use these in servers or DIY NAS drives resulting in exactly that.

            • @iironhide: I use game highlight recording on my SSD (I know I should move it to a HDD) and have gone through 150tb+ in about 1.5 years. Was surprised by that volume but yeah, it's entirely possible.

              • @ozbjunkie: yeah for a normal user it's fine. For a content creator, you might need a good SLC drive.

Could you buy this now, before the sale, and use your credit card's price-drop insurance to (effectively) get it at the discounted rate?

  • +4

Already got 49 votes and only has 50 units available at this price.

  • Only 50 units…

  • Hold on, this one doesn't come with free assassin's creed Odyssey.

  • +3

I spent $230 on the Samsung and sold Assassin's Creed easily on eBay for $55, so that may be a better option if you've got enough time to do it…

    • Nvm, found it. I'm a month early… FML.

Recently bought a 970 Evo hwishing i was eligible.

  • Amazing. Hy this year SSD prices drop so quickly?

Not really a deal cause I don't think it can be ordered to Australia, but Dell USA are selling the 2TB 860 EVO for USD280 atm, which is a handful of change under AUD400! LINK
