Guys what are you using this for let me know any ideas
Connect any electrical device and control it from your phone to turn it on n off. can use it for lights and fans and televisions and sound system and many more
Or just say "Ok Google. Turn off <Topersun1>"??
(assuming you have Google Home/Mini)
Most televisions and semi intelligent devices wont power on if a mains plug is turned on, you still need to turn it on from the remote etc.
I only see these working with dumb devices - fans, lights thats about it.
Yep this is the biggest problem with these plugs, any sort of "smart" device probably sit in standby mode until you press a button (or use a remote). Even my coffee machine does this.
Use on a lamp to turn on and off by voice (avoiding wifi bulb)
Use on simple style electrical blanket to preheat
Are the USB ports remotely controlled individually?
If it's anything like my Vivitar, you can control the USB ports separate to the power socket, however not each individual USB port.
But not sure about this model.
What previous deal?
Previous deal was Smart Wi-Fi Plug without USB's for $15.99
Thanks, bought one.
Thanks, got 3 to save $7.99 Postage…
Nearly went with Aldi deal on 13th Oct but, the USB hooked me :)Does anyone know if this can be controlled through Siri and HomeKit?
Nope you need to buy more expensive units for siri and most of them are only Bluetooth that connect to an Apple TV. So not true wifi
Was $16, price jacked to $22.
That was the non-usb model.
Anyone manage to set this up with Google home?
I have got it set up in the app but when I try and add it to Google Home it says my account doesnt exist.
I got it all set with Alexa and its working all good.
Wont have any idea about Google Home - Sorry
Install the Smart Life app, link the Smart Life account to Google Home.
Then you will see the plug available in Google Home.
can these be used on a powerboard?
