Killer deal. I have this and it is very noisy but works. Wish the exhaust hose was longer though.

    • How would it fare in a medium sized bedroom overnight? Is the noise likely to be too much to sleep through?

I hate the hot nights over summer 😭

Ddfinitely too noisy id say but when desperation kicks in… or turn it off and turn fan on after cooled room.

        • Might look at other alternatives, thanks for the feedback.

@iMagoo: All portable ac are noisy. You need a fixed system to get quieter.

          • @iMagoo: Maybe cool it during the day and turn it off when sleeping. Should be good for an 8 hour sleep, plus if needed more insulation. Windows especially.

      • have one of these and compared to others on market its probably the quietest around.
agree the hose is a bit short, a quick call after you get it to Kogan will get you a free hose extension (well that's what worked for me )

      • My inlaw's Olimpia Splendid Issimo is quiet. Cools down a small bedroom easily.

    • How's the dehumidifier?

Works great but fills up the container very quickly in summer. Get an extension hose from Bunnings so you can have it going directly outside.

    • How long is the exhaust hose?

    • Maybe you should have bought this Commando 8 model - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrylAsHhFVM

  • $44 postage to 30xx

  • Costs about $0.72/hr to run, depending on your electricity provider.

    • How to calculate that ? cheers

    • +4

Incorrect. The 3.5kw refers to amount of heat removed from the air, not the power consumed
Max nominal power draw is 1.05kw

      • So about $0.22 an hour to run?

  • I've got a hinged windrow cause I'm renting atm. Is there kits to help put the hose out or do I need to open the windows?

    • Yes, there are window kits.

'..2-in-1 Window exhaustion connection kit included – for hinged and sliding windows'

  • With delivery, this works out to be $293.
So, this or wait for bunnings to beat it like the aldi vacuum deal?

    • I've noticed that Bunnings have started displaying their range of portable ACs in store. A Mistral 12,000 BTU unit was $369. Not showing up on their website though. They also had Arlec units, the lowest was 7000 BTU.

      • Next time your in bunnings look for a unit with in and out hoses.

        • Two hoses connected to a single unit?

  • $95 TO Perth. No thanks

  • $92 deliver to Canberra… ridiculous

    • It would be a really large box, and Australia Post uses volumetric weight.

      • It's somehow $50 less to Melbourne though? Canberra is metro too.
