I got this a while back for about $106 shipped from Joybuy. Shipping took 5 weeks but I wanted it as cheap as possible so I could buy more batteries.
It is a good little drone and pretty stable. You cant tilt the camera downwards which is about the only other feature I would want it to have. Can launch and land from your hand, throw to launch and a few other cool functions.
So no better than those $50-$60 one from China?
DJI is from China
I got one of these. It uses downward optics to provide position hold.
It seems they were hell bent on not incuding gps. Surely the optical system with its powerfull processor was more expensive than a gps chip?
Given the focus on being able to program this drone using block based coding apps I would say that the market is more geared toward education and people who 'tinker' with things. It's more likely to be used inside where GPS lock either takes time or is unreliable. Not only that but I believe the optics allow for increased vertical positioning for landing in conjunction with the ultrasonic sensor, though I may be wrong. I use mine in the classroom and in school gymnasium and its great for that. I have even used it on the basketball courts with a slight breeze and it was stable enough to fly through a basketball hoop.
What other drone is this good at a price under $150?
The spark I would love but $700 too expensive, this for $130 I thought is awesome. How does this perform as a photo camera? Really only looking for that.
Yes looking for good photo drone for under $150.
I was in china recently. They were flogging it for $170AU. Jokers
Dont bother. Its just a toy really. If it gets to maybe $50 get it but other than that dont bother.
