Didn't know you can price-match discount codes on eBay?
I have in the past
Block-quote Identical products are price matched against online stores but as with any other kind of store, the item must be currently in stock. When price matching online stores we also take into account the added cost of delivery. If the identical product can be purchased and delivered via an online store for a total price lower than the one we are offering, we will beat that total price by 5%.
Only issue is that you have to use a code to bring it down. Perhaps it may not work as a result.
Block-quote Non identical products and services (inclusive of non identical warranties)
Package deals i.e. printer and computer bundles
Cash back and coupon offers
dual sim?
Yes It is. Only contract phones are single sim.
https://www.samsung.com/au/galaxy-offer/
May be eligible as well
They are not even good. The RRP is inflated.
Something is better than nothing
sell in gumtree = profit
I wonder if there is any certainty around this. Direct from TGG, sure, but Ebay's TGG?
good price :)
any s9 deals?
Get OW to price beat this for $897.75: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5-Off-Brand-new-Sealed-Samsung-G…
It was the only listing at that price they would price beat as the seller has a store page, offers a tax invoice and the part number is exactly the same.
My previous attempt to price beat the following failed because the part number wasn't exact, even though it actually is an identical product: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AU-STOCK-SAMSUNG-GALAXY-S9-SM-G9…
Will OW beat the price on this?
Cashback and coupon offers Are excluded from price beat.

This still seems expensive
Compared to what?
Well compared with the $84/month 200gb Optus deal for 512gb model available at launch a couple of months back. Even if you were to say 200gb of data a month with unlimited calls/text and unlimited streaming of Netflix/Stan etc was only worth $35 a month (it isn't), you still paying similar cost for the 512gb model to this.
Although this is true, this deal is for buying the phone outright. I mean some people like myself, get huge discounts from work if we buy a phone outright. Also for some swapping plans etc is not possible.
The poor coverage of the optus network makes this deal irrelevant for many..
I'm paying $10 for my sim only plan so this deal is cheaper
Prices will most likely drop even further soon due to Samsung starting production for Galaxy X foldable phone
Well not a bad price for the phone. But if you don't need s Pen. YOu can save money with S9+.
Bought $1100 on Friday from Officeworks
Pricematch with officeworks with mymobile much cheaper
They're not doing that anymore, the model/part number must be identical. Not a warranty thing though…
my eyes are watering seeing the price and description as "cheap"
Want to buy the 512gb version that comes with 8gb ramsame i cant seem to find that version anywhere.
Im quite sure that model sold out pretty fast and is in short supply around Sydney at the moment. Not sure about other places though.
U can try using Samsung website with corporate login for discount, but in 512 the blue/yellowPen is out of stock for 1439. cheap i guess
other colours are available
Need the 512gb model…..
Highly doubt it.
After discount $1439.20 @ TGG ebay

Hey for those who are buying this, don't forget to claim these free headphones: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/406677
I just had a chat with Samsung Customer care, they said ebay purchase will not be eligible for JBL. Either stores or through their website but not through Ebay. :( Can someone check it again and confirm.
I remember I did pickup from an eBay purchase, and the invoice only had a TGG letterhead and no sign of eBay?
I would take their word with a grain of salt as they might be thinking a private eBay sale rather than through a participating retailer's store.
Having said that, take my words with a grain of salt too :P
Does anyone know if you get a Good Guys invoice for this? (i'm guessing this is the only proof of purchase needed for the headphones offer) and for TRS
Never bought from the Good Guys eBay before.Edit: Looking through their eBay store terms, it appears a Tax Invoice is provided with the delivery or pickup. So for those wondering, all you need for the headphones offer is a proof of purchase, and this should work.
Beautiful device. Unfortunately cannot justify purchase until lotto comes through.
this one or new Iphone? Any recommendations?
Horses for courses
This anyday but ymmv
To buy a new one, or pay $320 to have my ones screen repaired… Decisions decisions.
You've already broken your note 9 screen!?
Ouchy
Yep, furious. Haven't told the wife yet, lucky I use my Galaxy watch when she's around at the moment, have hidden it for nearly a week so far. I'm hoping my appointment at Samsung tomorrow goes well. Im hoping there's an unwritten 1 free screen replacement rule.
id rather poke one eye out with a knife then break my 1.5k phone within 3 weeks :(
@butter: A true ozbargianer would poke their eye out with a fake one from the $2 shop!
With regards to Officeworks and price matching, there’s other event threads here for this phone referencing Bexetech and other eBay stores with discount codes, so might be worth a shot.
Catch also has them for $1199. I might see if I can find OW stock today and ask for a match
Please let us know how it goes
So it was a no to both eBay and Catch, but yes to https://www.becextech.com.au/catalog/samnote9dual128gbblu-in…
Works out to be $1129.50
Interesting… becextech also has midnight black version for $1109 here: https://www.becextech.com.au/catalog/samnote9dual128gbblk-in…
I'm going to try for a price match tommorrow.
Blue color is OOS at OW, right? I called them and couldn't do the price beat because of that.
@hawkeye93: I just went to my local OW and bought the last black note9 and they priced matched it for me bringing it down to $1053.
Didn't ask about the blue colour.
good guys ebay reporting we are ran into problem and transaction is not going thru
anybody getting thru ebay ??
Picked up mine from GG yesterday, got a full GST invoice that doesnt mention ebay purchase plus the phone is dual sim
Cool might get
How long after placing the order can you pick up the phone?
Mine was within 2 hours
So fast, placed my order yesterday but still haven't got the pickup notification yet.
@hawkeye93: That's weird, it showed me estimated time pick up will available on the checkout screen of ebay
@Yolo4Days: Yeah, that's right, but no notification of "Ready to be picked up". However, I made a call to the store and they said it's already available. Just came home with it now :))
@hawkeye93: Enjoy, is yours dual sim also?
@Yolo4Days: Yeah, it says "DUOS" on the back of the phone box. Have you redeemed the JBL headphones and fortnite skin?
@hawkeye93: Na not yet for the headphones, where do you the fortnite skin from?
@Yolo4Days: I saw a post about that. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/400553
@hawkeye93: Cheers man, didn't even know about, don't play fortnite either but will claim anyway
Wondering about the practicality of having such a large phone. Must be pretty big having to squeeze into pockets
I got price beat at office work successfully, total cost: $1044.05
Delivery is not factor in :). I tried calling 1300 first, they outright refuse me even though I stated it's australian stock because australian warrenty! The guy hesitated a bit but didn't give in.
Going to officework was better. The guy there was great. He thought it was S9 at first so he went to get one.
I said Note 9 and he's like "That's $500 discount!". I said "400 actually" and he's said "alright".
He did check on his own computer to make sure I wasn't bullshiting him. He ask for the site address.Considering what happened over the phone, I said, go to Google Shopping and search for "Samsung Note 9". He did and visit the link provided by google and have a quick look before agreeing.
Seems like they trust google more than becex! So when they ask for the site, tell them you use google shopping!
Never heard ofw price match with promo code. Well done
Price beat Becextech, not TGG eBay.
