There are a few options if you're happy with 500GB…

MSY has an eBay store???
Yes but only on the condition eBay created a queue system with slow service so it replicates the in store experience
The way SSD prices are going I can replace my NAS drives with SSD drives soon!
Hopefully soon enough before my nas dies…
Did you really think so ?
- NAS drives are now generally from 4T to 14T
NAS drive pricing is around $30-60/Terabyte
SSD drives (non enterprise, home/retail) seem to be in the 2-4T sizing (yes, I know about 64T/128T enterprise ones)
- SSD drive pricing is around the $220-500/Terabyte mark
So we're still an order of magnitude out at the moment (we have this debate at work a lot in the storage team.. )
Is this the cheapest ever for the 860 EVO 1TB SATA?
It’s been $2 cheaper before but required an eBay plus membership. There’s been about 5 other deals with a few bucks of this price.
$206.10 great price considering you don't have to use gift cards.
I think it's very similar on ebay - see the Crucial MX500 deal yesterday. 860 EVO was $20 more before discount. I couldn't decide which to get - ended up going with Crucial.
Buy 2 use pack 20 and they are beyond redic cheap (20% off ey?)
Good point
Effectively 10% off
Anybody in Syd wanna split with me?
yea maths fail i forgot the terms of the deal
howd you get the $206.10 please
Stack it with 10% off ebay gift card.
crazy how these have dropped.
How does this model compare to the other range from Samsung SSD? Sorry at work and no time for research. Need one badly!
You wouldn't notice much difference under normal usage compared to 860 PRO SSD, so this is a very decent SSD. However this is much slower than the NVMe versions, which are also way more expensive at the moment.
Thanks for the info mate, much appreciated!:)
When I clicked 'Go to deal' on my mobile, I got offered a $10 off any purchase from eBay voucher code (have to redeem on same phone and browser).
I don't know if it's targeted, but offer/voucher is valid untill 11th of November.
Edit: Ok, I think it's targeted for new users only (just going by the t&c page name) https://pages.ebay.com.au/coupons/newbuyer.html (where it says it's valid only until 16th of October) but it may be worthwhile opening a new account for a once-off $10 voucher depending on purchase.
Restocked on new item number. Someone bought 6 😲
Must be the guy who said to fill his NAS with SSD….
Gah where are all the M.2 SATA or NVME ssd deals?
