Went to the local Target after work one night (not to particually buy anything, but just on the off chance there were some bargain to be had), and discovered a lot of their already cheap Childrens Box Set books reduced further to crazy prices - great for me as the buyer of childrens books at the primary school I work at!

Even better - 20% off all 'Childrens Picture Books' until the 8th March … this applies to some of these sets.
Links below are reference links as to what I'm talking about - not where to buy them :)

Went to Reynella / Marion / Fulham Gardens & Castle Plaza in SA … some had lots of these, some had none - although those that did, they all scanned at the same price, so these aren't just one-store markdowns!

    Mr Men Complete Collection (47 books) & Little Miss Collection (33 books)
    Were $49.98 ea in January - down to $39.98 ea in February (I bought it them ‘on clearance’), now $28-ish on clearance - 20% applies to this making it $22.30 !! Thats 47c per book - Target sell these $4 normally, or $3-ish at the moment!

      Hi Robot mum - I bought one of each from the list above … no need for any more than that, so can confirm they do exist, and are out there.

      I'm only interested in dirt cheap for school, so box sets of childrens novels are my main aim - there were also lots of preschool type boxes / little pocket-sized box sets of 5-6 books each, but these seemed to be roughly their usual prices (and most of the titles in these types of boxes aren't available individually - only in the box as a set), so I dont pay attention to them.

      Two more that I saw, but didn't purchase, so can't recall the exact price on (all I know is I bought both a month or so ago for much more arggghh)…

      Might add a couple of the stores I visited had their red 'price reduced' stickers on each box - but the rest didn't … just the normal shelf price on the shelf. Best to give anything like that a scan at the price checker (Target Marion still had "Mr Men box set $39.98" big sale tags on the shelf!)

    Thanks for posting this deal. Stocked up on Mr Men & Little Miss Sets for birthdays, Christmases, etc! Also got a Spots the Dog collection of 5 books for $7.90! Surely Target must be losing money when selling at such low prices?
