  • Hi REP any chance you will be stocking the new Gerber Bear Grylls range?

  • Hi Ben, Bear's range is on backorder due to huge popularity - personally I think the Yari II is a better quality knife and you're not paying for Bear's name.

    • http://www.legear.com.au/Gerber-Bear-Grylls-Ultimate-Knife-p… Bear's knife is cheaper and it comes with a fire starter

      • I know your paying for the name but it is cheaper (not a Tanto blade) and has some extra's to

But yeah jsut checking so thats a no to ordering them?

        • Hi Ben, we don't have them in stock for purchase at present - and from the legear link neither do they. Most shops have them on back order - but with no definite date for availability I don't have them advertisied on the site. Once they become available we'll list them for purchase.

  • Good knife for a good price. So tempted to get it but really shouldn't D=

    • It's almost Xmas…

  • any plans to have another sale of the ka-bar fighting knives?

what multipurpose knife would you recomend for an outdoors man? knife would be used for all sorts of tasks, chopping small trees, fishing, skinning etc.

  • Ka-Bar are still on site at $79 plus shipping.

I can't recommend chopping small trees with any knife… It's horses for courses. If you're clearing scrub grab an axe or machete. As far as a good all purpose knife I personally use a Buck Kalinga Pro see… http://www.aussieknives.com/buck-kalingo-pro-camo-fixed-blad… for a less expensive blade that'll hold up really well go for one of the Winchesters on site (then you can grab an axe or machete too!)

the Bear Grylls range require cleaning in your own urine and sharpening with live snakes. much less effort getting the standard set in my opinion.
