Only $80 now 😢 but larger range of hotels. Here is the list - https://hiltonhonors3.hilton.com/en/promotions/amexoffersau.…

    • Thank you @UberlsCool

      Damn, why not mainland states?!

    • Thanks for that listing; saves me registering with Amex as none are of interest to me.

  • Hilton rebate getting less every year :(. Oh well, better than nothing.

    • Ive never managed to use it over the other hotel offers agoda and expedia, Can never justify the price, however I do want a day where I can lash out.

  • There is currently a 35% flash sale at some properties too.

  • Offer is limited to a maximum of ten credits per Card to which the offer is saved, and limited to one credit per Card for pre-paid online bookings.

Does this mean I can't book a hotel stay 2 nights at a time to get multiple $80 credits?

    • valid once per property

      • Ok but what does "limited to one credit per Card for pre-paid online bookings" mean though? If I book 3 different Hilton hotels online wouldn't it be 3 pre-paid online bookings?

        • Some bookings aren't processed/billed by the portal but the hotel's backoffice. Those will fall under the 10 credit per card rule. Most bookings are of this type anyway. So far all of my Hilton related bookings are like that - no pending transaction at all then the charge will be applied couple of days after the bookings or when I chase the hotel up to make sure they're processed if I'm cutting it too fine before the credit/promo expires.

        • Last time they had this deal I booked at both the Hilton Sydney and Hilton Brisbane hotels with the same cards and got my credit for all my spend.

Re Hilton booking, another 2.5% rebate via cashrewards?!

    • I don't see why not?

    • I cant see Hilton listed in cash rewards site - could you link it possibly?

Disappointed: none of their recent offers are relevant to me - a mere peasant. They all are high/fancy spend.

  • Comment withdrawn.

  • Anyone have experience with making separate bookings with different cards to cover a stay over consecutive days? I currently have bookings at one of participating hotels for a 5 night stay, with a separate 1 night stay a month later.

I have access to three different Amex, so I'm thinking of breaking up the booking so that 2 nights accommodation is charged to each card to claim multiple credits. Would this work? Or would they automatically consolidate it all into a single booking?

    • Just ask them to split payment when you check out, pretty sure they'll allow it. ie "can I pay 400 with this credit card, another 400 with this credit card, then the rest with the other card".

Then use the last card to pay for the 1 night a month later.

I have done it a few ways.

One was working out my 4 night Brisbane stay costs via the App (by selecting one night at a time) as when you do it is a block the prices go up. Once I worked out the price, I called up Hilton and they sent me a form to fill out where I input all my various CC details and said how much was to go on each one. FYI they agreed to honor the day by day prices I got from the app.

The other way I did it was to just log in via the app and book one night at a time and pay on different cards. As the deal is for one or more transactions, the only issue you will have is having to call the Hilton up and remind them that you are really there for multiple days and to book you in a room such that you do not have to check out each day. This is what I did for my upcoming Sydney trip and will need to do for the 7 night HK one I just booked this afternoon.

  • I also have cash back on Shangri-la hotel group. When spend aud 500 get aud 175 back. Clearly this is targeted offer.

  • Bad luck. Hilton Osaka just charged my card for 2 upcoming stays. They don't normally charge a non refundable rate this early but I needed to update a CC detail as I lost the card and they decided to charge straight away. Also booked 4 nights at Hilton Pattaya for Xmas at $500+ per night. Could have saved $400 or get a better room without having to wait for Diamond upgrade :( At least I still have one stay next month in Bangkok I haven't booked yet.

  • Been waiting for the Hilton deal to come through and so just booked a week in Hilton Holiday Inn Garden View (Mongkok) in Hong Kong (Jan 2019). They are currently having a Chinese holiday sale there and so I also got the rooms pretty cheap, especially after I broke up the payments across four cards where three Amex will have hit the AU$400 target and the last one was left with $330 on it. What it means is that I'll just have to spend AU$70 on that card to get $80 back. :-)

Luckily it is across multiple spends at the same hotel as I had to book a few one night stays on the cards.

I also hope that this ups my number of stays to maintain my status.

  • I don't yet know what dates we would want to stay.
I presume buying gift card wouldn't work?
Or if I book a flex rate and end up changing it would the credit be taken back again even a month or two down the line?

  • The offer says valid once per property. Does this mean that I can stay at the same property more than once, pay on the same card (separate transactions) and receive 1 x $80 once the total value of the stays exceeds $400? Or does it mean I have to spend over $400 in one transaction at the same hotel in order to receive the 1 x credit?

  • It doesn't apply to any Hilton in the US (except Hawaii)?
