Really, South African Tourism have done themselves a dis-service by being stingy… Not adding this one to the collection.
Haha! I already got the full version (ie. updates) free last time. If this is a sponsored one, is it any different from other apps with ads that are generally free 24/7?

How funny… Moaning about no updates! It's free, it costs you nothing. Explain how this is a bad deal?!? What kind of updates do you expect in a lonely planet guide to make this any more valuable with an update than without? On the random chance you head to capetown and actually need the guide within the lifespan of your iPhone, How exactly do you expect capetown to change to result in this free item becoming worthless?!?

If there's one thing I would not be doing on the streets of CapeTown, it's pulling out an iPhone and wandering blindly down the street…
You can probably say exactly the same thing about certain parts of New York, Chicago, London, Sydney etc. etc…
Since the iphone has GPS, maybe the apps should warn you when you turn on the phone that you should probably not be using the phone in open areas at your current location…
interesting way to get around the itunes system's tendency to give you all future updates at no extra cost. First time I have noticed this. Hope it doesn't become a habit.
