  • Got any good deals on an I3??

    • Not really. Are you just looking for something basic/ cheaper?

      • yeh just needing an i3 4gb

  • OP is the ram 1x8gb or 2x4gb? ta

    • Almost certain to be 2 x 4GB, otherwise they would use it to offer a 16GB model.

Is the Windows Licence for Home or Pro?

    • +1

I would like to know the same as i need WIN 10 PRO

  • I'm interested in making a cheap PC build just for fighting games, would I be able to get away with buying one of these, chucking in a new PSU and finding a form fitting GPU?

Would the MB and RAM in this be fine for that purpose?

    • +2

These are not a standard ATX power supply, so you can't really upgrade it. Having said that, the power supplies are powerful enough to support a Nvidia 1050 card which is available in a half height form factor. There are few good videos on Youtube about upgrading these.

    • +2

You just need to buy one of these and add a LOW PROFILE graphics card - the GTX 1050 TI is about the highest performer that will fit (ie is available in low profile half-height) - http://www.msy.com.au/vic/malvern/nvidia/20052-msi-gtx-1050-… - you can't swap out the PSU easily, it's a proprietry DELL unit.

  • Nice deal. I accidentally bought the USFF, instead of a SFF 9020 recently. It's actually turned out fine for me since I don't need to add a video card to it, and now it's even smaller than I'd expected. It slots in very nicely next to my console in my tv cabinet.

    • I use a USFF as my plex server and it's faultless.

  • I've bumped the quantity up another 100. There are a few more pallets to be checked in, but I do not think they will make it in time.

  • How many internal 3.5” hard drives can you fit in this?

    • You can only fit one 3.5" HDD in this Dell Optiplex SFF.

You can fit up to three 2.5" HDD/SSD, if you replace the CD Drive.

  • Any idea if one of these with a 1050 Ti would play PUBG at all?

Also, @calmago, are you apply to supply and fit a 1050 Ti into one of these?

    Thank you :)

    • OK - kinda of answered my own PUBG question by looking at YouTube vids, yes, it's playable.

Still interested to know if a bundle is possible (I just want to make sure it works together, power supply and all).

  • Any chance to make it USFF?

  • Hi OP, you've got a 'make an offer' button. Are you feeling generous? What sort of price would you accept for OzBargain?

    • Make an offer is in place so we can pass on discounts to people purchasing bulk quantities in one go. Also once the feature is on, you can't take it off :(

  • Hey - just bought one, thanks! Question, with the Win 10 install, will it prompt me for a windows 10 key that I'll need to buy separately?

    • +2

No - you are good, it's tied to the machine.

  • +1

Thinking of getting one to use on a bigger 24' desk monitor and 65" TV. I never owned a desktop before, only laptops which have all the connections and inputs I need.

A bit of googling, it seem that I will need to order a display port to HDMI for my TV and a USB wifi adapter for internet.

Does the motherboard also come with Bluetooth or do I need to buy a Bluetooth adapter also?

Also would the performance be better than my HP spectre x360 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz?

Is it easy to upgrade other parts in the future?

  • They’ve got an i7 too. Looks like a mint deal. So got a couple haha

  • Excellent deal. Purchased a Dell 9020 and a 9010. Thanks OP!

  • Hi,
I picked up a 9010 in a previous sale and I think the PSU has died.
What's the easiest way to replace?

  • +1

Bought the USFF 9010, order 35715. First OptiPlex purchase for me - looking forward to seeing how this runs 🙂

  • +1

    Yeah I went a USFF instead also. i7 / 8GB for $225 - bargain!!

Question, I'm going to try Windows 10, but if I don't like it, is it an easy process for me to reinstall Windows 7? (i.e. is the lic key tied to the BIOS or whatever for activation?), and/or is there a Win 7 recovery partition or should I install with my own original Win 7 DVD?

I thought I'd try something new but just played with Win 10 at JB Hi fi and really unsure about it.

    • +1

License key is on pull out tab on the rear of the machine. Simply reload Windows 7 and activate with the COA.

  • So these have just arrived with windows 10 pro installed. Can anyone help me answer these?

Probably a newbie question, but should I reformat/reset the PC again or is it fine to start using it as it is?

If so, how, what would be the easiest way to reset the PC and have windows 10 pro still installed?(rather than letting it return to win7/8 or whatever it initially came with)/

    Regards
