Great to kill ants and roaches.

Yeh, it's 1 teaspoon borax to 1 cup water and 1/2 cup PVA glue.. Or close to that…. You'll need a lot more PVA glue for that much borax! šŸ˜‚

    • Yup. That's it.
May need to shuffle those numbers around a bit to get the desired result.

it's 1 teaspoon borax to 1 cup water and 1/2 cup PVA glue.

Is that the recipe for Coke Vanilla?

      • +1

Nah, you're thinking of 1 cup of borax, 4 cups of water, 1/2 cup of road tar and pass it through a room with a vanilla plant…

  • Great as cheap flux or making green fire too.

    Great on Weet-Bix

100% serious. I make gallons of the stuff. I have kids, kids friends, nieces and nephews. I volunteer at the local schools with kids. A never ending supply of slime is great and the kids love it.

I have tried some other borax over time and always found this brand from Bunnings gives me the best results.

My favourite slime recipe that I have had the most success with…

        • Brilliant! Daughter's birthday is in a few weeks, this will keep them entertained and cheaper than hired entertainment.

Great for Chinese meatball and noodle too

  • So what's an effective method to use this as a pesticide? It's toxic so should stay away from kitchen benches etc?

    • Where do you get that its toxic? Its mostly used as a detergent so its definitely not safe to eat or rub on the eyes the same way we dont drink dish washing liquid. Its perfectly safe to touch. It does damage the skin the same way soap does with long exposure.

      • Yeah I didn't know much about it but yeah have read up on it now

  • Shaving cream plus borax plus food colouring however its toxic for kids

    • what is the toxic part?

      • shaving cream :)
note:like everything else excess consumption of borax is toxic
