It's an Australian knock off of Israeli SodaStream. If you didn't have any other good reasons to buy Australian rather than Israeli (I do), here's a good one: it's a lot cheaper!

Whilst Israel has a deplorable human rights record, Australia is guilty of invading countries that are not attacking it which is a war crime, so it's rather like the pot calling the kettle black.
We invaded Iraq after intelligence agencies failed to con the United Nations into agreeing to the invasion with made up evidence. Conservative estimate 1 million civilians dead.
We are currently engaged in an invasion of Syria, purportedly because of the terrorist organisation ISIS which is a problem we created by invading Iraq. The reason given is invalid under international law in any case so it's a war crime.
These are for profit wars with revolving doors existing between US fossil fuel industry, US defence contractors, US intelligence and US government. And Australia, as the USA's lapdog, is just as guilty.

Care to expand on the reason you would prefer to buy Australian (which in this case is Chinese anyway) vs Israeli? Is it age old anti Semitism or something more altruistic?

It’s easy to do, you can base an entire countries existence and continued humans rights abuses on calling anyone who calls you out on it anti-semitic.
Anyone know of something similar to this or Soda Stream that uses larger, cheaper, refillable canisters? I checked the capacity of Soda Stream and it wasn't much cheaper than supermarket brand carbonated drinks
