    Sandisk 200gb micro-sd = $71

    LG 29" / 21:9 / 2560 x 1080p = $239

    • Thank you, added to OP.

  • SSD still has cashback offer for today as well doesn't it?

    • +1

Yes, but you need the receipt for the Proof of purchase - they send that with the item so you'll have to message the store after purchase to ask for it to be emailed.

Proof of purchase and personal details need to be submitted by the end of today - tax invoice, serial number and a photo of the serial number have to be submitted by the end of september.

      • It says cashback redemption extended until 28th September although the claim needs to be started today. Does that mean I don't need invoice until then? I messaged them anyway hope they reply asap.

        Nvm U already said that

        • +4

Just called Samsung, I was wrong. You don't need to provide anything by today, you only need to purchase by today.

We have until 28th September to provide all details.

You can verify by calling 1800 900 730 if you want.

        • @mahdoo: $30 cashback on this model for anybody wondering.

        • +4

It was set that way earlier today requiring you submit today, but we had a bit of a conversation with our Samsung contacts and had them update their requirements, now plenty of time to submit the invoice/SN after you receive

    I think it's 2% cashback now

    Any deals for 2.5 SSD's?

    • +1

I've just added a couple in the OP.

      • Awesome. The Green 120GB SSD seems to be at its all time low.

    • yeah, this would be good. Bought the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 and I really need a decent SSD for the games.

  • hmm…tempting price for the GTX 1080

    • +2

Does the 2.5% cashback tempt you more?

      • it is indeed…but Im in no rush guess I'll hold on to my 1060 for a little bit longer, hopefully it will be a bit cheaper later when the RTX cards got released

    • +1

Yeah it is tempting. Just waiting on the 1080 TI to drop a bit as well then will jump on building a new rig.

      • Man, I wish I had your commitment to the probably better price:performance of the 10 series. I’m waiting for benchmarks but Nvidia those greedy b**stards are pulling me in for a 2080!

        • +1

Dont do it man. trust me, the whole reason they havent revealed it is cause something fishy is going on.
Also for the next 6 months not sure how many games can we expect to support Raytracing.
Further from previous experience with tech, there are bugs when a new piece of tech is unveiled at first, which are ironed out as time goes.

        • +2

          @parallelparadox:

Man, ray-tracing now in 2018 can go jump… I'm all about the frames. Raw power to rasterize is said to lie somewhere between a 30-50% improvement, independent benchmarking pending. If good 1080s lie somewhere around the $700 mark, and non-FE 2080s sell for somewhere between $1000-1200, the price:performance argument might be there to buy in to the 20 series, and then forget about needing a GPU upgrade for a few years.

I don't see it though. Nvidia are pricing the 20 series high to encourage clearance of 10 series back-stock. Also, it looks like the 2080 benchmarking will probably end up more modest (cf. 1080) than that of the 2080 Ti (cf. 1080 Ti), which is gonna be attributed to the significant CUDA core count differences. And I'm not sure I can convince myself to shell out >$1500 for the 2080 Ti even if it wins the price:performance argument.

I think I might just say f**k it, grab a 1080 at a good deal, power a 1080p/144Hz monitor, and wait out this series.

        • @FatPenguin: Amen to that brother. I am now in the same boat as you. I think it is always a gamble grabbing the latest GPU as soon as it comes out. I have learnt some harsh lessons in the past being an early adopter.

      • hey man the evga ti is only 886 dollars+free shipping from newegg a very trusted site here is the link if you would like the same model is currentlt 1100-1300 here in aussie but this also ships to aussie from united states https://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487375&cm_re=gtx_1080--14-487-375--Product

        • Your link says $912 EXCLUDING GST with free shipping for me, so about $1000 total? If love a Ti for 886

        • Yeah same here, I get $912 as well. That said how is EVGA as a brand when it comes to GPUs? A little asking around and people are saying their customer support is great but components/cooling etc they lack compared to some other better backed brands. I haven't had any experience with them but all these comments makes me want to wait a bit for a better price for say Asus or MSI etc.

All that said, thanks for the link still man.

        • @parallelparadox: hey sorry about that i thought it was 912 with gst but still 300 cheaper than aussies price the old.version is.886+90 duty tax

        • @lihljglg:
yeah I've tried to add the item into cart, seems like the price doesn't include GST…

          EST. Duty: AUD$94.03
          EST. Shipping:AUD$0.00
          Estimated Total:

    • Included in OP. Thank you

  • any deals on a gtx 1060?

    • yes just add the code and it will deduct the price its sitewide whatever you want is on sale

  • Does anyone own the 29" LG 29UM59A-P UltraWide monitor?

    If so please provide feedback.

I will be using it primarily for video editing (not pro) and photo editing.

    • 21:9 ultrawide is very good for video editing

this has 8bit (6+frc) IPS w/ 99% sRGB coverage , but doesn't mean colors are accurate straight out of the box, so you'll need to calibrate the display yourself (same with any other non-pro displays)

    • ive got the 29" UM69-b, its a great screen but a bit small so i have ordered from this deal the 34"um69 for $400.

ultra wide support was annoying initially but have no issues what so ever these days, it great to have dual monitor benefits on a single monitor.

  • Is rx 570 a good buy at $199? Or was it cheaper before mining craze?

    • +1

Yes that RX570 is a great buy at $199. Better performance than a 1050ti and $50 cheaper. You would have to spend $100 or so extra to jump up into a gtx 1060 or RX580

      • Any idea how to claim that through this seller? I messaged and ask this morning but they didn't know anything of it.

PCCG, Scorptech, MSY all say you need to email them with your order number in order to get the code.

        • They should know about it, they are listed as a participating retailer by AMD.

https://www.amdrewards.com/terms - see top link on that page, shows Computer Alliance listed

        • @iammimix: That's a bit funny then Whoever is answering their Ebay questions at 8 in the morning isn't in the know I suppose.

One would hope that Ebay wouldn't affect access to that offer.

        • @Perch: i wouldn't think so since you are still technically buying from them, just a different store front.

I'll be chasing them up about it also having bought this :)

        • +3

Our purchasing people somehow missed this and so didn't pass anything on to the rest of us. They have followed up since and we will be receiving the codes to distribute next week (by email). They have been beaten thoroughly to help prevent a recurrence of their oversight.

If anyone who has bought one that should be eligible and hasn't heard from us by the end of the week, just send us a eBay message or email with order details.

          …Adam

        • @Computer Alliance:
Happy to hear about the beating (JK's). Are these applicable for the RX580 you're selling too?

          Thanks!

        • @Computer Alliance: That's great news, I just bought a RX570 :) I've been waiting for a graphics card with good value to hit $199 for a long time.

  • Guys, how are these cash back things works? Thanks in advance

    • +2

You purchase the item, the cashback website verifies the purchase (can take a few weeks) and the amount is credited to your account.

Over the period of a year I had around $70 in my cashrewards which I cashed out to my paypal.

  • Any 500gb or 1tb ssd?

  • +1

Still gotta tell myself to hold off a rebuild until Cyberpunk 2077 releases.

Unless of course all of these items go together for a good upgrade build. Coming from an i5 3570k and SLI GTX670's.

    • You don't need a rebuild, just throw a GTX1080 in there and you're sweet.

      • Feels weird that a 2012 build CPU will be ok for much.

        • +1

It won't, even for my 1080 ti was bottlenecked.

    • Find a cheap 3770k. I have no intention to upgrade until DDR4 price drops from it's stratospheric heights.

    • I've got ddr4 ram already, IDK if I want to upgrade from the i5 6500 yet, like i really want to upgrade, but I want a solid upgrade. Don't know if I should wait for the 1700 or the 2700 to drop in price.

  • gtx 1080 for 615…that looks like a steal - trying to build a rig for my 4k monitor, will it be decent?

  • +1

    2600 OOS

  • The GTX 1080 link in OP is not a Gigabyte Windforce (dual/triple fan card) as stated. Looks like it actually links to the blower style card which explains why it's so cheap!

  • Getting error message when trying the apply the code: We ran into a problem. Please try again later.

    Any pointers?

  • -1

    @Computer Alliance:

2950x is listed at $200 above RRP - what gives? Price jacking way above RRP just because a product is new isn't really considered a respectable business practice…

I mean, I could understand if it wasn't part of the sale, it was only released on Friday. But putting it in the sale at a jacked up price is not cool.

  • recommendation on ASUS Maximus X Hero vs ASUS PRIME Z370-A?

  • Anyone having issue applying the code?
