  • Can I use the code "PHENOM" to get cashback?

      Yep.

      Yes you can!

      • How long does it take for a rejected claim to be reassessed?

        • Hey TarquinOliverNimrod,

This would depend on the store and how long they get back to us. We can take look for you if you send us a private message with your ShopBack email address.

  • New to the cash bank scheme - if I buy 10 items from Computer Alliance - totally 2.5K (max single item =600) then I I'll receive the approx $80 cash because (25000.80.025) ie not voiding $50 Max on 1 item? Cheers

    • +1

      Hey Griefbringer,

Cashback is capped at $50 per transaction. So it would be better to split your transactions up to no more than $2,000 per transaction (you can use the Computer Alliance code up to 3 times).

  • Can we pay with ebay gift card?

    • +1

      Hey LoveBargain15,

      Our terms state:

Payment using any type of voucher or eBay credit may result in your purchase being ineligible to earn cashback.

If you're purchasing from eBay regardless, give it a go anyway.

  • Wow! shopback really delivering the goods lately. Keep up the good work guys.

    • Thanks for the feedback frondono!

I had few bad experiences with shopback didn’t track my purchases where I never have problem with cashrewards which really discouraging me to use shopback even though offering more rebate than cashrewards…
    YMMV of course.

    • Hey widzz,

Sorry to hear you've been having issues with your purchases through ShopBack.

We're more than happy to help you out with getting your missing cashback. You can submit a claim using this form or by reaching out to our customer service team via [email protected]. If you've done so already, we can follow up on it if you send us a private message with the email address linked to your ShopBack account.

Actually I have submitted one of the quite significant amount claim form and reached one of shopback representative here (@idigaeroplanefood) on 3/7 then my claim got rejected on 6/7.

@idigaeroplanefood advised will investigate this but I'm still waiting the update reply until now!!

Also missing some small purchases which I don't bother to pursue… so yeah, I can say I really can't trust shopback ability to track my purchases.

        • Okay, thanks for the info - we will follow up on that claim for you. Big or small purchases you make - we want to investigate them all.

        • Have followed up on your claim and it appears to be an automatic/system rejection - it should be "pending" on your account now.

    • @widzz yeah same here.
Some of my Vodafone’s were tracked and my numbers still active but ShopBack rejected them.

      • Hey POWERevolution,

A technical issue with our affiliate partner's systems meant that we were seeing transactions being incorrectly rejected for those who had already activated their SIM cards.

In order to resolve this we sent out emails to those affected to forward over proof of activation (a welcome email from Vodafone). If you missed the email, please forward it over to [email protected] and we will have this fixed up for you.

  • I downloaded the Shopback Cashback Buddy extension for Chrome… i go through the Shopback website, and it says I'm on my way to earning cashback, but the Buddy icon stays red. It doesn't do anything.. just stays red. No blinking, flashing, changing colour.. nothing. I paused my adblocker.. So whats going on? Is it because I have the Cashrewards one too??

    • Hey Lister55,

We've temporarily switched off eBay from the extension (just for today) so we don't get people clicking through links that'll only get them 1% cashback. As such you won't see the extension blink, flash, change colour etc.

That saying, if your last click is through eBay Flash Sale from ShopBack before making your purchase it'll be okay.

After several untracked transactions and little to no support I'm not risking my cashback with Shopback again. One was a considerable Expedia accommodation cashback, so I'm out quite a few dollars. Went with Shopback because their rates were a percentage point or two higher than their competitors, but lesson learned.

Hasn't happened yet in all the years I've used Cashrewards, so while they're not always the best cashback rate, for me Shopback isn't worth the risk. YMMV.

    • Hey apat,

Not the experience we'd like you to have and we're more than happy to follow up on your past correspondence with our customer service team. Send us a private message with the email address linked to your ShopBack account and we'll take a look.

      • No worries. Thanks for the reply. Will do.
Not sure what good it will do though. As I understood it, my cases were closed with a "nothing more we can do" outcome.

Shopback giving Cashrewards a … run for their money!

(ok I'm probably not the first one to make that joke…)

  • +1

I was really skeptical about using shopback but i just saw that the cashrewards from 5% cashback from shopback got through. Using shopback again after long time.

    • Thanks for giving us a go again. If you need anything, remember we're here to help!

  • How do they calculate the cashback? Is it on the pre-GST price?

Purchased a $5 deal from scoopon which was advertised as 10% cashback.
Email from shopback shows a cashback of $0.46.

    • Hey 8azinga,

It varies between stores - Scoopon cashback indeed is on pre-GST price. For eBay, you should be getting cashback on the full amount excluding postage and additional GST charges that are applied at checkout.

  • Good deal, if you can get it to track your transaction. 1/2 of the time it will work. I now use Cashreward at lower cash back, but at least it worked.

    • Hey kml22,

We certainly want your transactions to track, would you be able to share any info on this? If there's any outstanding, send us a private message with the email address linked to your ShopBack account and we'll help sort it out.

  • It's a cashback war - this is mad!

    Mad?

    THIS. IS. SHOPBACK!!!

  • no cash back if i pay with ebay giftcards?

    • Hey hihi,

      Please see here.

From our own experience though, we've made test purchases which were funded by eBay gift cards, with successful tracking and payout. However do note that it's not guaranteed for payout by eBay, which is why we've left this clause in our T&Cs:

Payment using any type of voucher or eBay credit may result in your purchase being ineligible to earn cashback.

My experience with shopback was really unpleasant comparing to using Cashrewards. There are missing transactions and even a few transactions got tracked but later on got declined with no reason, I had to contacted their customer service and provided invoice, order confirmation as requested, but after that nothing happenning.

Personally I won't use them any more as there are too much hassle and not worthwhile to get those few bucks back. Easy and smooth cashback is always the rule no.1 while choosing the site.

    • Hey HNSCKS,

Sorry to hear about your experience. You mentioned that you haven't heard back - we'd like to chase this up for you. Please send a private message with the email address linked to your ShopBack account and we'll follow up.

  • Omg.. I just purchased an item worth 4K aud.
, phenom doesn’t seem to give me 10% is there a reason why

  • Can the store rep extend this offer? Was out all day on Friday night!

    • Hey needleeye,

We'd definitely love to extend it however we can't :(

But stay tuned as we have more offers coming up soon!
