    Weird that items added to cart before clicking button from cashrewards means it won't be tracked. On all other sites this is always how I do it as it means less likelyhood of it stuffing up some other way.

    EDIT: Also when you go to cashrewards on mobile it says the mobile site doesn't work either, not just the app

      Weird hey. I didn’t see that and thought my cashback was missing then realised I added everything I wanted to cart them went to link. Can confirm you won’t get cashback lol

        These notes also never used to be there when i last ordered a bunch of things (both about the things in cart and the mobile site not working). So will chase it up when the pre-order items finally ship.

      Yup, I agree. It's the exact opposite of eBay but it's unfortunately the way Amazon works. We have no say in the matter.

      Also when you go to cashrewards on mobile it says the mobile site doesn't work either, not just the app

      We had to do this as we were finding 80% of mobile clicks were opening up the App by default and therefore losing tracking. It was safer to simply disable it completely.

          @tightarse: Thanks. Managed to get IE to work, although Firefox didn't like the link off cashrewards (older version).

          I've still got 4 other pre-orders for games that I did on the mobile site previously. I assume at the time it was probably still active (I knew the app didn't work).

          Is this also the same for the things already in cart. These orders were done over a month ago and no warning existed.

      I think it might be because Cashrewards is paid for encouraging consumers to go to stores. Therefore it wouldn't make sense that they are rewarded when you had the items already in your cart before Cashrewards encouraged you to visit the site.

        While i agree with what you a thinking, really the whole concept of the cashback is a bit broken.

        I can't think of one single person who would go to cashrewards, not knowing what site they want to visit to browse.
        They then decide on a site to and look around. And somehow find something to buy without ever leaving the page or checking another tab etc that might make the cashback not work.

    Just a question with that educational note, is it okay to add everything to the cart first, then go to CR and click 'Show Now' and head straight to the cart to finish the transaction?

    That's what I normally do for other sites but now I'm doubting for Amazon after that note above?

    Edit: Just noticed someone mentioned above that it wouldn't work this way.

      But seriously: use the desktop pages. Stay away from the app and mobile pages. TA said that was ok if you read up.

    I got cashrewards added to my google chrome and it will prompt me to activate CR, I thought once I activate CR, anything added to cart and go thru checkout will be registered?

      As long as you add items to your cart after you activate the notifier/extension, you'll be fine. Please ensure you also follow the other guidelines about a new click per transaction, additional tabs, clicking away to other sites, AdBlock etc :)

    Do cash rewards work on pre-orders?

    If I pre-ordered a game on Amazon through Cash Rewards, when (if ever) would the sale be tracked? Would I get the 10% despite the charge going through when the game ships (after this deal expires)?

      I'm not sure yet. I've got 6 pre-orders going now through Amazon with cashrewards hopefully working. First isn't due until October 9 (did get Monster Hunter from Amazon delivered today but forgot cashrewards with that one, and when you cancel an Amazon order you don't get the voucher back)

      As astroberryz says, keep in mind cashback is calculated on gst-excluded price.

      I think it varies with seller though. Ebay and amazon are like this.

          Did you see it in your click history? If you can should be OK. Check back later tonight otherwise you can report it later and they will check it for you.

      I've been using Shopback as their app has an inbuilt browser, so you're guaranteed to get it (so long as you do use that to add it to your cart). They take longer to payout, but it's not hit & miss. Hopefully CR will do something similar soon.

          In my experience, unless it has changed, it works fine. Just doesn't get processed until the order is filled, etc but that is not surprising.

        I think we'd just need to clarify whether it would be tracked at 10% or the regular 6% (or whatever the rate is at the time you are charged for it).

          So i just got tracking for my order yesterday which was a pre-order.

          All my previous pre-orders i didn't get any tracking, and when i followed up they said this was normal as I didn't have an invoice with the shipping done on it.

    I love CR but so far my experience has been very bad with Amazon tracking. None of my 3 purchases were tracked by CR. Have opened a ticket, hoping it can be resolved.

      I had one of my woolies purchases untracked, which was quite a large amount compared to my usual cashbacks.
      Was declined in the end. I would be keeping an eye on the larger claims to see if there is a pattern.

          We have this on the Amazon merchant page. But having said that, give it a go anyway. If it doesn’t track or is declined later on, you’ll know the reason…

          Use of coupon codes not listed on Cashrewards will void eligibility for Cashback.
