Seafood Banquets (For Two Persons) 89.90
plus
Enjoy two glasses of house red or white wine with your meals
which would normally be in addition to the seafood banquet…
But that adds up to more than $95.70 plus you get desserts as well…does that mean it is a smaller serve of the seafood platter?
desserts are included in the banquets…
Yes it does :)
enjoy…
This eatery appears to be doing the rounds of group buy sites… they were on ourdeal about 2 weeks ago, and jigocity more recently, all at $39 but for total value of $79 and $80 respectively, so I don't know how that matches to the normal price banquet item for $89.90.
Also, google tells me they were recently looking for cooks/chefs and waitstaff.
Feel free to draw your own conclusions about what all this means… :)
Wow quop! You really do your homework before deciding where to eat! Awesome stuff.
It's not about where to eat but whether u GET to eat there. I am hoping they aren't too full to accomodate you.
haha not all the time - i happened to recall seeing the venue name recently, so googled to job my memory, and found the job ads while i was doing that.
i think though that as a general principle one needs to be more discerning with where one entrusts their money. as per rack's comment, it can be about whether you even get to use the coupon (for which you've already paid). it can also be about trying to reduce the risk of getting bad service/food etc. more and more stories of bad experiences with group buy purchases coming up, eg in the ozb forums for one.
having said that, i would definitely have been enticed by this deal if it didn't require a 90-120 minute round trip from where i am!
but for total value of $79 and $80 respectively
that might have been for the meat banquet which for 2 people, is about $20 cheaper than the seafood banquet…
yeah, could be. expect for the fact that both of the other deals mention "seafood banquet" and/or "seafood platter"…
$39 for 2 drinks + 3 courses for 2 people.
pretty good deal.
