They are both smart version according to the manufacturer description (MPN code googled); the one you linked is the SMART TEST AND CHARGE, the one linked in this deal is the SMART CHARGE only. The difference is the one has a button for you to test the battery and alternator health (you can save yourself a lot of money and test with a volt-meter instead).
would it be worth getting the 7Amp version instead or 5Amp is enough for most applications?

If you don't plan on charging anything bigger than 110Ah at 12V 5A then the MXS 5.0 is the best value.

Is this suitable for Lexus is250 2008? Does it work if I leave this on under the sun since my car is parked outside with no shade during summer.
Just note this looks like the mxs 5.0 smart test charger but the description says it's the standard mxs 5.0 not the one with built in tester. Otherwise it's still a good price for the standard mxs 5.0.
Personally I prefer techmate optimate but they're not as popular in Aus.
